Super fun experience! On this particular night, they had a live band playing so it was a great plus. I was impressed with the amount of pinball machines. Some of them are very old and still working. So you pay a price at the door and they give you a wristband for unlimited plays. The price changes depending on time and event so check it out or call before going. My recent visit to Silver Ball Retro Arcade marked my third time enjoying an evening there. It isn't a very large building, but boy do they pack the fun in. There are two levels, filled with classic and collector's pinball machines going back several decades. There are also a ton of retro video games from my youth. There are bars upstairs and downstairs, and I believe food is available as well. Parking can be a little tricky, but by having a little patience, you'll find a spot soon enough. There is a public lot just adjacent to the arcade. Your admission gets you access to all the pinballs, video games, and skee ball. I'd plan for at least two hours to enjoy all the games. The people who work the register are quite nice. If you go on their website and join their mailing list, they frequently have deals for tickets or gift cards. Their specials are very generous and can make for an affordable and fun night out. I would probably visit here more often if I lived near Delray. I absolute love this place. It's a free play arcade, filled with so much nostalgia, every pinball game imaginable, and a bunch more arcade games from every era. The skee ball is salvaged from Coney Island, and it's like playing a piece of history. The lights and sounds are so soothing, with two floors of games and bars. The staff is all super friendly, from the folks at the door, the bars, and the maintenance folks making sure the games are always running. I have the monthly membership, $30 for unlimited free play, and it's so worth it. For $50 you can bring a guest every time too! The food is typical bar food, so I just come for the games. Some of the machines were out of order (but no sign that says so) and some of the machines were not working properly or missing some tools to play them. But overall there are lots of games and everyone can find something to play. The employees were also pretty nice and friendly. What a blast from the past! A small group of friends and I - all in our 60's - wanted to see what this was all about. It was exactly what you remember from your youth except with several bars! They offer food and beer specials on every night, in addition to $5 off unlimited play for seniors on Mondays. Ladies night on Wednesdays 8p - 11p for 50% off drinks. We ordered the thin pizza and chicken wings which both were great tasting. A Jack and Coke and a cold beer and we were off the the pinball and stand up arcade games. My favorite pinball machine was the Kiss and Motley Crue. The Galaga was my favorite arcade game. We played Skee Ball was super fun too. The bathroom was unisex and clean. A fun, old-school spot right off Atlantic Ave. It feels more like a dive bar but with a twist. While we've never eaten here, our friends have said they have great pizza and the drinks are what you would find at most dive bars - nothing fancy, but priced lower than other bars. Not only is Delray Beach a fun tourist spot but we also get to live here! We love coming here on weekend evenings after dinner to play games and listen to the music. I am on the PTA at my daughter's school and they kindly gave us several free passes to come in and we used them with gratitude. All the staff is extremely professional and kind and their bar food is actually quite good. Everything is reasonably priced from food, to drink and entry. This was a cute little activity spot to hit up before a dinner reservation in Downtown Delray. In the heart of downtown, right next to the main train tracks, the colorful building filled with lights is a stand alone hidden behind a restaurant. We went during golden hour, but I can definitely see it getting a little sketchy when its darker outside. Thankfully, downtown seemed to be bustling even on a Tuesday. The Retro Arcade is sort of museum of vintage pinball games. There's also skeeball, a basketball shooting game, some race car arcade games, etc. Upstairs there's also shuffle board, and air hockey. Really cool. There is a tilt bar downstairs, and another upstairs. It is $15/hour and anything over an hour is considered a half day, which is a different price. read more

I had received an email from the SilverBall Arcade offering two for one all day passes. I bought two of them, used one for me and my wife and daughter, they let all of us in on one pass (three for one) and I took an old friend there for lunch and pinball with the second pass. Parking in the area can be difficult and it's all metered parking. We decided to eat lunch in the arcade. We sat at the bar ordered a pizza to share and a couple beers. The beer tender quickly brought our drinks and the pizza followed shortly after. I was very surprised by the pizza, it's a thin crust cooked to a nice char and the flavor was very good. When you enter the museum you are given a wristband that allows you to come and go as you please. They have pinball machines from all eras. Just push the reset button and play. On top of each machine is a display card with the machine's history. They also have Skee-ball machines and one of my childhood favorites a baseball machine. Entering the museum is like stepping back in time and one could easily get lost in the sound of the machines as you play them. The place looks like an old pinball parlor with two floors of machines. If you find yourself in Delray Beach go check out the Silver Ball Arcade and bring your childhood memories. read more

Wall to wall pinball machines and vintage arcade games and my absolute favorite, Skee-ball!! Really fun way to spend an hour or two. We paid $20 each for a half day (you can come and go during that time). Very friendly staff, machines were all well maintained and clean (there was an employee going from machine to machine cleaning all the touch points while we were there, as well as another performing maintenance). Two story building with a total of three bars. Spotless bathrooms. Machines all had drink holders, and are set to free play, so no tokens needed. Great assortment of machines and games from as old as the 20's to the 90's or so. Everything was awesome about this place except the noise. They had every machine's speaker (and most had their own speakers) turned up to 11. Add to that the mechanical sounds of the machines themselves such as paddles, bumpers etc, and the music they were playing and it was LOUD, at least to my ears. That's no knock on them - you'd expect it to be somewhat noisy, but if you have sensitive hearing you may want to bring some hearing protection. Had a fun time here this past Friday- Happy Hour was good- may visit again if in the mode for some Pacman since that is mainly what we played- arm was sore the next day lol. It is stimulating due to the lights and all the pin pong machines. Loved the disco balls and retro candies they sell. We enjoyed the music with the videos, as well.
