The ambience of the service is 10 out of 10 But unfortunately, the food didn't taste good and also was definitely not fresh If I ever visit again, I would just get a drink

Rum buckets. Lime and coconut and tropical fruit bucket. Yum!

Got here on Memorial Day at 3 and got a table despite the fact you have to make a reservation at the hostess stand. We waited at the bar for 10 min and when I went back to the hostess, she sat us by the musician immediately seeing that there were open tables. It was kinda frustrating watching people walk in and get a table. We got our table, which was perfect and ordered quickly. We were told our food would take an hour!! Glad we were hungry. It actually took 30 min I ordered 2 dozen clams, shrimp and lobster cakes. Food was pretty good, also had the traditional rum buckets. Yum yum and good music. Spent $100 for all, but was worth it and fun.

Great service and food today. The fried fish is awesome. Drinks were delicious. Felt safe and comfortable during covid. Beautiful day!

Set up for covid social distancing. Masks required when walking through restaurant. Seated, you can take the mask off and feel a little normal. Servers wear masks all the time. Location is great right one the water and was able to bask in the sun and breeze and drink a few weak drinks. Most important for me was to be able to sit outside on a nice day and feel somewhat normal... as if I hadn't been locked away in my house for 5 months. I would go back for the location and drinks, regular live music, but not the food.

Lobster roll on lettuce (except there was no lobster in this...it was strings of imitation crab, and gross!)

Living in the Rochester area, I know you don't go to Schooners for the food but, rather, the atmosphere. A table by the water was great. Drinks were good. The food, however, was terrible. I ordered the lobster roll on lettuce instead of the bun (I am gluten free). I told the server I was GF. The lobster roll is listed on the menu as "tender chunks of lobster salad in a light dressing..." What came out was imitation crab (see picture). Strings of imitation crab. (And for those non-GF people, imitation crab usually contains wheat making it not GF). If they ran out of lobster, they should take it off the menu and not try to pass off imitation crab as lobster. Very disappointing and would not come back for food.

Great place to be on the water and enjoy Rochester. We went to drink and they had a good variety of cocktail options to please our entire party. Our waitress, Nicole was fantastic. The view cannnot be beaten. Live music was also refreshing too. Overall, a very casual place to enjoy some drinks and bar food, right on the water.

Great place for drinks and apps by the water on a warm day. We had long island ice teas and clams, all was good and tasty.

The Genny Light is phenomenal at Schooners! Especially in a can! Live music on the deck!

Great atmosphere - was perfect on a sunny day on the deck and the restaurant was clean and well maintained.

There was a youth softball team celebrating the end of the season upstairs so it was a bit loud, but fun. It's right on the creek and there's plenty of outside seating and picnic tables so if the weathers nice you can get your food and beverages and head outside. The bar tenders were all good, let us try a couple samples to make sure we were gonna like what we ordered. There's a separate spot to order food and the young girls working the food spot were unenthusiastic... We ordered the chorizo poutine, Roni Stark Pizza and Tampa Bay Bustdown burger. The pizza was good, honey drizzle was a nice touch, but the poutine and burger were the clear winners. Chorizo gravy had a good kick, and there were big chunks of cheese curd, nice. The burger had 2 smashed patties, nice crispy edges and a ton of flavor. The Gouda cheese and bacon they are using are both high quality. A lot of variety of beers on tap, not all IPAs which was nice for someone that isn't an IPA guy. Tried 2 lager, an ale and a pilsner they had on tap and I'd drink any of them again.

Ample space both upstairs and downstairs. + 2 of the 4 sours I had were decent. + Great for kiddos as they have an outdoor space that's family and dog friendly. It was very busy the day we went with a fun atmosphere outside. + Historic venue with a nice restoration for the brewery. The less great: + The setup means long waits. Having to wait in line for beers in a completely packed brewery with two bartenders is not a way to run a business. They need to consider a new strategy for ensuring they can accommodate the volume they are currently doing. + Had a bite of someone's burger and found it more or less inedible. + My parents had attempted to organize a large family gathering on the day we were there and while I wasn't involved in the planning, there seemed to be missteps and miscommunications along the way that weren't met with much empathy or customer service in mind. Too many great breweries in Rochester to waste time on spots that aren't going to ensure guest satisfaction. Great location though! This place is so, so busy it's obvious the east side isn't brewery saturated (somehow) quite yet.

Joey's is the ideal neighborhood bar spot. It's good for a quiet and sunny drink on the way home from work, a let's-close-this-place-down bender after a rockin' night watching Harry Potter at the RPO, or a packed-to-the-brim Halloween costume contest (the second place prize still hangs in my den). I'm never disappointed with the draft list--there always seems to be something new and interesting, as well as reliable standbys. They post to beermenus, and you can subscribe to e-mail updates. Food can be ordered from Richmond's across the street (sometimes they have awesome seasoned fries) or from Schiano's pizza (they'll deliver!). There are also abundant cheese puff balls at the bar, if you are so inclined (spoiler alert: you are). Go to Joey's. If you are reading this while currently at Joey's, stay at Joey's.
