First off I'm going to say there's definitely an issue where they're signage. There's a huge sign out by the road saying they're open seven days a week but if you pull into the parking lot on a Sunday day or Monday, you're gonna realize that is a lie. The hours are correct online, but we didn't look there because we drove by it on a night. It was open and saw the sign so we figured we would go there and we try to go on a Sunday night. There are two signs on the door, one saying that it's open seven days a week and then another one that says closed on Sundays and Mondays. I think they should get that straightened out. If you have mobility issues, you'll definitely wanna park around the back so you can go up a ramp or it's a flatter surface rather than steps if you park in the front . There's a really cute little outdoor patio to eat with heaters obviously, this time of year it's not quite the right weather for that. The inside hasn't changed there's still the county flags on the walls in the ceiling , there's still the big wooden privacy booth with a little Shamrock on the table underneath. There is a fireplace that's lit when it's appropriate and there's wooden tables in the middle of the dining room. It's not a huge restaurant. There's a really large menu that I feel like it can appeal to everybody's tastes. Honestly this place has the best potato skins I've ever had anywhere and they're just like I remember them from when I was younger. They come with a healthy side of sour cream. They didn't have some specials with candied bacon and so I wanted to try it and I asked if I could get a side. I got two sides of very slimy, grizzly limp, bacon. That was my only complaint. I think that candy bacon should be crispy and if the chef wants me to give him some pointers on how to make candy bacon I'll be happy to share my recipe with him. I also had a tomato basil soup for an appetizer because it sounded so delicious and it was really good. It had a nice texture and it was a sweet tomato basil soup . It was very thick almost like a marinara. Delicious! My dad had the turkey temporary grill. I believe it was. It was a turkey sandwich that came with a side of onion as you and he picked out homemade fries to go with it. Honestly, I was having a little bit of FOMO from not ordering it. It looked really good. I asked about desserts. They only had one dessert and this was on Thursday night. . It was a lemon mascarpone cake and it was really delicious. I don't know why I haven't gone here in so long so when I'm back in town again, this will be on my list !

While planning our dinner party months in advance, the communication from Janine was excellent. She helped us develop a 4-course menu that was sure to have something for everyone, including vegan and allergy friendly options. Amy was our server for the evening, and she ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. The chairs in the Meyer's Den are wide and comfortable, the decor is dark and classy, and being in the basement away from the dining room made it very quiet and easy to converse with family. The room is rather spacious for 12 guests, but could also accommodate a few more people without feeling cramped. Out of the appetizers we selected, the Charred Octopus was very popular and everyone enjoyed it...even those that had never previously eaten octopus. The baby cauliflower dish was also a beautiful presentation, and quite large and enjoyable. The salads, particularly the Charred Hurricane salad, were nice light courses before the entree was served. As for the entrees, the filet mignon was a little on the dry side, but we really enjoyed the light and crispy spinach fritters that accompanied the beef. The salmon was a generous portion of medium rare fish, and there was lot going on with that dish - spicy cauliflower and za'atar potatoes that had some mixed reviews. Folks who ordered the duck breast seemed to enjoy the complex preparation, which had asparagus, green beans, and two pureed sauces - cauliflower ginger and cherry-rhubarb. The doughnut bread pudding with apple pieces and vanilla ice cream was a delicious, decadent way to end the meal. We left rather stuffed, and delighted with the overall experience that allowed our family to celebrate together.

Ryan returned asking if we needed more to drink or more bread, no we still had bread. She apologized for the delay and said she would check with the kitchen. She returned 15 minutes later and said the kitchen was working on our orders. We were at 1 hour at this point, 10 minutes later our food finally arrived, it looked beautiful. The shrimp placed decoratively on top of the risotto, scallops lightly seared. The chicken in a creamy white sauce with linguini and fresh herbs on top. My first bite of the risotto was a disappointment, it was undercooked, more than a little al dente (risotto is not supposed to be any al dente). I tried different places around the dish to see if maybe there was some way to save this dinner, sadly not. We waited well over an hour for our dinners and it was undercooked. The scallops were good as were the shrimp so those were eaten. Our server did not return to ask how our dinners were. The chicken dish was good and my husband enjoyed it, brought half home as it was an ample portion. When Ryan returned she offered boxes, I declined since you cannot fix undercooked risotto. I explained what was wrong and she said she would let the owner know because he was helping in the kitchen. She returned with the wrapped up chicken and offered a free cannoli to compensate for the problem. We accepted, my husband ate it because I don't care for cannolis. We paid our check and left. I was surprised that if the owner was working in the kitchen and alerted to the problem that he didn't come out. I found that a bit strange, if it was my restaurant and someone said the special that was priced at $42 was not cooked properly I would come out to apologize for the problem. He did not, we paid the check and left. We have eaten there twice before and our meals were good. We do not eat out at nice restaurants often but because it was my 60th birthday we decided the occasion was worth the splurge. Sadly I don't think we will return based on the long dinner preparation time and the quality/price of the risotto. We don't mind paying extra for good food but this was disappointing.

It sometimes seems they need more front of house staff, BUT they keep up and provide great service.
