I will admit that I had no intention of buying anything just yet, because my truck was loaded with food pantry items I was dropping off later that day. I was simply checking out the sale on Fairy garden items and window shopping to compare prices. I will tell you this, I'll be returning this week and making quite a few purchases. Everything they had was healthy, beautiful and the prices are hands down some the the best- if not the best I've seen all season. The place is organized and neat with all things clearly labeled with prices. I liked that I didn't have to keep asking an employee how much something was. The caged tomato plants had tons of fruit on them already. I can't wait to purchase the 2/$20 cages they have to grow tons of juicy tomatoes for my family. The veggie plants are very well established and I look forward to getting some cucumber and pepper plants, along with a few herbs like cilantro and chives. This greenhouse has everything and you just have to check it out for yourself. Even in this rainy,dismal day you can't help but feel good and happy here! It's a boost of sunshine for your soul! They also had a lot of beautiful gift ideas and at reasonable cost, I seen succulent and ready made fairy gardens for as low as $19.99. They would make very thoughtful teacher gifts at the end of the school year, right around the corner. Or how about a "just because gift" to brighten someone's day! I can't wait to go back and make my purchases. Yes, yes I would highly recommend this place.

The rest were dedicated to selling purses, baked goods, and ceramic ware. In other words, there was not a whole lot going on farmer wise. He said they ran from $5-$10. I picked 5 and offered $5 per album and he had a fit, screaming and shouting. Usually you get a counter offer. So I just left those albums behind others were much nicer. I don't think it's worth the drive, although I found a few other nice shops on the way back. It's very hilly. Wear your walking shoes.

I've been coming to the Farmers Market in Clinton Township for years, and honestly, I loved it back…read morewhen it had that small, country-store feel. It was cozy, personal, and worth the trip. But lately, they've been modernizing and expanding -- and unfortunately, the prices have been expanding right along with it. The perfect example is their store-made roast beef. Just this summer it was $6.99 a pound, and now it's jumped to $9.99 a pound -- a 42.9% increase. That roast beef was the one door-buster item that kept me coming back. I was in their store every other day, picking up two pounds at a time. But now that it's become a popular product, they seem to feel the need to gouge the customer. It's disheartening. They've always run on the higher side for pricing, but at least that roast beef balanced things out. With that gone, there's just no incentive left. Compare it to Cattleman's Market in Center Line, where New York strip steaks run about $7.99 a pound versus nearly $14 here. Lunch meat is also considerably cheaper at Cattleman's. It's disappointing to watch a place I once looked forward to visiting turn into just another overpriced stop. They can keep their roast beef -- I'll take my business elsewhere.

There's parking surrounding the building as it shares lot space with the municipal offices of the city. It's quite a large space, great for expos, fairs, etc. I could even see it as a wedding venue; which it likely is. The are food services spaces and bathrooms inside of the building, and a nice outdoor sitting/dining space.

The parking situation is interesting and seems small at first, but I think it's surprisingly a manageable amount of room for the traffic through Royal Oak Farmers Market. It might require a loop or two around either side of the farmers market building through. What's most attractive about this farmers market is that it's completely indoors, with a handful of vendors just outside the entrances, so this runs basically year round, which I love! It's one giant space inside, completely dog-friendly and there are bathrooms available for use as well! The vendors are lined up table next to table lining the perimeter of the building and a smaller circle in the center, allowing the walkways to be in between these two "circles" and allowing for the ability to loop around the entire building without much thought. There is a wonderful variety in vendors at the farmers market, plenty of produce-based vendors, organic produce in particular, plant sales, snacks, and more art/craft-based vendors too! They are basically a small version of Eastern Market if you can't make it out to Eastern Market! I was in a bit of a hurry this first time, so I was only able to do one quick loop around, but I am definitely excited to come back here soon to look in more depth at all that they have to offer because there is a TON! The prices also seem very reasonable as well. Love Royal Oak Farmers Market and I will definitely be coming back again soon, especially throughout the winter months! :)

I amongst considered going back in to get a dozen. The cider is quite flavorful with the mulling spices here. They have an assortment of apples here and bosc pears too. Bring cash here, they don't have an ATM Machine and they charge you a 3% convenience with your purchase when you use a credit card here.

I grabbed a basket and picked up some corn, homemade butter tarts, which are absolutely delicious and some dip seasoning. They also had an array of hummus, fattouch dressing, as well as cheeses and vegan cheese. Such a quaint market packed full of local items from around the Windsor Essex area, which is wonderful! Definitely would come back here to pick up some more local fruits & veggies that this area has to offer.
