Mike E. was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, very efficient, and most helpful. This is a review of the service department of Schwab, not the dealership. So my little Cobalt has had several recalls (thanks GM and Chevy) in the past couple of years. A couple weeks ago I got a notice in the mail about an ignition recall. Then my key fob (the clicky starter thing) stopped working. Since I only have one fob I booked myself an appointment to get it fixed and to get my recall handled. My car went in at 9am. Before I had been quoted $125 for the repair (the recall was obviously no charge). I was at work and got a text at noon that my repair was done. When I wrote back and asked how much everything would be I got back $55. What? Sweet deal. Apparently $125 is the price to replace the system, but since I just needed a new battery (and no reprogramming) I got the lower price. Nothing wrong with that. Hopefully I don't have to come back to Schwab for a while. The service and everything was nice there, but I just prefer to have a working car with no more recalls. read more

Amazing what a dash cam at a dealership will pick up!!!!! If I could rate negative stars I would. Wouldn't let them touch my little red wagon as I don't think they could handle fixing it. Go in for a tire wobble and they try strapping down my buggy whip flag for work and taking it for a test drive...... wrecked the hook and scratched my sports bar... best part it was the shop foreman. Name: Dakota Graham Age: 25 From: Leduc Vehicle: 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 double cab all terrain edition(Extras- light up Buggy whip, sport bar, LED light bars, Beacon) KMs on vehicle: 65000 owned since new Occupation: Coating Inspector (Oilfield Fort MacMurray worker) Went in for: Recall, oil change, and general maintenance/Multi point vehicle inspection, Brake fluid flush (as it was recommended service), check engine light had come on and turned off two days before appointment, and a wobble in the back rear passenger side. Back story: I have owned my vehicle since new and it has been my work ruck for working in the oilfield. It has seen all types of terrain and landscapes, if there has been a pipeline there it has most likely seen it. So my vehicle has been outfitted with light bars on a sport bar on the back to allow for me to see down log roads, and has a light up buggy whip for haul roads when working around big "Tonka trucks". I have taken my vehicle in to this dealer in Leduc and one on the south side of Edmonton. The Leduc dealership is convenient for me as I reside there. So I have taken my vehicle to there for most of its services. I eventually had gotten a wobble in my rear passenger side tire. I originally thought that it was mud in the rim, nope. Then I thought maybe the tires need to be rotated, nope. Maybe they are out of balance, nope. so I took it in this time to see what they could figure out as to what the possible issue may be for it and do all my other maintenance. So unfortunately I have a tight schedule to book my vehicle in on the Friday before the long weekend as that was the only day that I was able to book it in. Now I don't usually write bad reviews of places and especially when I have a friend that works there as a salesman, but I really feel that people need to know and stay away from this place at all costs for service. Summary I wouldn't even take bike there to get the chain fixed. -bent hook/broken and glue I had to remove from tape on my buggy whip -wasted my gas -treated like dirt by Teribble Tarra - spent 283$ at a non-reputable company to gain no info about anything at all - had my truck joy ridded at 133KM on the highway and lights and accessories played with -turns out my truck has a failed toe and camber. But who knows if that's really true.... -has some weak sauce rim cleaning ? -truck slipped on lift ? damage anything? Who knows.... - never got a quote about the red break covers like I had asked for -found out that there is poor service at this location -turns out that the dash cam wasn't a waste of money and I will be buying one for my car next. - that the shop foreman thinks a buggy whip that is on thousands upon thousands of vehicles in the oilfield would be causing a wobble on a vehicle that had it on it before the wobble even started ? What prompted this was how poorly I was treated by Terrible Tarra Sherman. If she would have been nice and said hey Dakota I know that you had your truck here, I don't have the answers but I will be more than happy to find out and give you a call on Tuesday after the long weekend. I would have said okay no problem and not looked at the camera and seen the clowns messing with my vehicle. But no she decided to treat me like dirt and make me feel as if I was the problem and I was inconveniencing her. So I hope that you take your business somewhere else. And if anyone from GM wishes to contact me regarding this or the manager wants to phone me back. Please do, I honestly don't know If I will ever want to take my truck back there, but I would like to have my hook for my flag not wobbly. And some explanation for all this rigmarole that had happened. What to say, typical car dealership. Nothing special here, inflated sticker prices brought down during negotiations but never low enough for the consumer. Used vehicle prices seem to be higher here than at other area Chev/GM dealer, especially used trucks. I bought a truck from them and it's okay. Could have used a few more hours in the pre-inspection chamber, if you get my drift. Also, not nearly as clean it should have been after a "detailing". The biggest issue is their service department, techs are overworked and not very good at detecting problems or their solutions. Getting a reasonable repair for anything is not going to happen, ever. It's overpriced, overcharge and wait forever to get it fixed. Not returning here for my next vehicle purchase. read more

I have had nothing but a horrible experience dealing with this dealership. Purchased 2 brand new Denali half tons there with some added aftermarket accessories on them. With the accessories and the cost of the truck the total was well over $140,000. After experiencing some problems with the aftermarket accessories, including the wrong airbag system being installed, installing some of the components wrong on the airbag system, installing mud flaps not only uneven but backwards........ this dealership did nothing to reimburse me. The service/parts department would just tell me to leave it with them and they'd get back to me with what they could do. 5 times I received that same phrase and never heard back once. I had to click 1 star to post this comment but I wouldn't even give them that. I give them a 0/5 star rating. read more

Purchased a brand new GMC 3500 Denali - All went well with the purchase until I asked for a wood liner. Fine, they would put it in no problem. I pick it up and they put the wood liner OVER the 5th wheel hitch?! I asked them why they would do this....Answer "most people don't use that"! Are you kidding me? I bought the truck with the 5th wheel hitch package as I tow things for work. Fine, they will fix it if I pay to get it done. Not a chance! Not my error, not my problem to fix so spoke with manager, he dealt with that and booked the appt with no fee. I go back for the service appt, now they just freehand cut a hole in the wood liner that was completely crooked as a fix for their mistake. I complained and they said they have to pay someone to come and take the liner out in order to do it properly. OMG. They have someone "recut" it a bit straighter this time. This is when I bought the truck. I have since been in for service - more issues. 1st oil change - the crack the oil cooler seal - oil on driveway, take it back they fixed it. 50000km inspection - they do another oil change . They cracked the front DIF seal, now another oil spill on driveway and oil leak all on undercarriage. Take it in, they fix it and I tell them to clean undercarriage by washing it down. How do they clean it? By wiping the Front DIF and leaving the undercarriage covered in oil after I explicitly asked for it to be pressure washed and they also told me they would. Very happy with these people! They brought my truck in, did a free oil top up and booked me for all the warranty issue steps instead of "one at a time" bookings which is a complete waste of time! Very friendly and helpful! The staff there were able to walk me through GMC warranty steps, too, and made it painless to submit a claim. read more

I have a 2018 diesel and the speed reducing warning came on. I took the truck to the dealer ship and talked withTara the service advisor. She said they were completely booked but if I could leave it with her she would at the least have a diagnostic check to find out if the truck was ok to drive. A few hours later she came to me saying it was the throttle body, and needed replacing. They had none in stock but could have one brought in and have me back on the road by closing time. I am shocked at the 4 star rating Schwab has. My experience with them was not a good one. Short story: Both the Sales Manager, Brian, and a Salesmen, Steve looked at my vehicle as I was trading it in. They told me my vehicle needed thousands of dollars of repair in the form of a new timing CHAIN. This is something I had never heard of, but I went home and researched it. Coincidentally, my vehicle has just been at our family mechanic for regular maintenance and there was nothing notably wrong with the vehicle. I went back to the dealership via email (so it was in writing) and they immediately changed their story. After confronting them, they told me they said it was only a "maybe", and they didn't mean chain, they meant belt...very shady. Despite my vehicle no longer "needing" thousands of dollars of repairs, they would only give me $500 more for the trade in. We ended up going elsewhere, got a fully loaded vehicle for the exact same price as they were trying to sell an SLE model. read more

We recently bought a Chevrolet Cruze for my wife here. Although the sales girl we had was pretty good, she knew little about accesories available for this car. In her defense, no one else did either. I wanted to get some sort of molded mud flaps for the car and was told there were some available but it was on a weekend and the parts department was closed. 3 staff members ( Sales, Management, and Finance Guy) assured me they would look into it and get back to me Monday. Two weeks past and I got a call asking how my wife liked the car. Although she loves it, I told our sales person we were still waiting for a call on the flaps. That day I got a call back saying because it was an RS, there are no flaps available.?????? Not Impressed. That one item would have made the decision NOT to buy this car. We live in Alberta and with all the crap on the roads (rocks,etc) the underside paint will take a beating. I was told that I could pay and get a 3m coating where needed down the street. We paid over 30,000.00 for this car and to pay extra now for a plastic covering hurts. Buyer beware, if you want to know anything about cars/trucks before you buy, don't do as I did and rely on knowledgeable staff. Do your homework and shop around. John H read more
