Great place for lunch! My family and I stopped by here a couple days ago and my cousins are still raving about the schnitzel. So if you're visiting, you can't go wrong with the schnitzels. I got the Jägerschnitzel and it was great, would totally order again. Service was prompt and we had an enjoyable lunch and stroll down Altstadt. Thanks Schwan! read more

Very nice outdoor cafe in market plaza. Had schnitzel with fries. Delicate and tender. Not a bad place to dine or lunch. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Rapp-Schwan K.

Gründerin des Schwan ist Kerstin Rapp-Schwan. In den wilden 70er Jahren erblickte Kerstin als Schwester eines 35 Minuten älteren Zwillingsbruders vor den Toren Hamburgs im hohen Norden das Licht der Welt und verbrachte dort auch ihre Kindheit. Als Kerstin gerade zwölf Jahre alt wurde, gründete Klaus, der Vater der beiden, mit einem Freund eine Steakhaus-Kette. So wurde Kerstin schon vor der Pubertät in die spannende Welt der Gastronomie herangeführt. Als Klaus, nach dem Verkauf der eigenen 11 Steakhäuser und zuletzt Geschäftsführer der Maredo Restaurant-Kette, in den wohlverdienten (aktiven) Ruhestand ging, kaufte er seinem ehemaligen Arbeitgeber einige Standorte in NRW ab, die dieser nicht weiter betreiben wollte. Dies war die Geburtsstunde des Schwan und die gastronomische Basis für Kerstin. Kerstin stieg im Jahr 2001 fast direkt nach dem BWL-Studium in den frisch gebackenen Familienbetrieb ein und betreibt seit dem erfolgreich die Schwan-Restaurants. 2011 holte sich Kerstin Rapp-S

Rumours say that the owner was involved in the conception of the famous "Hüftgold" in Flingern, so you can imagine what to expect here. A nice neighborhood place that serves coffees, wines (quite a selection) and also has a lunch menue for what I could see. I am curious to read other opinions! I'll check it out again.

Schlechtes Essen. Die Nudeln kalt aber eine sehr großzügige Portion. Dazu gab es ein wenig Soße, für die Menge an Nudeln ein Witz, und mehrere Stückchen Lauwarmes Fleisch. Das Goulasch soll aus einer Düsseldorfer Metzgerei kommen. Die sollte sich angesichts dieser Portion auch schämen. read more
