I visited for an informational meeting about one of the many certificate programs offered by the UMBC. The buildings main "reception" area is circular in design and not very large. I arrived a few minutes after the officially start time of the event, so I did not experience any crowding. However, after peaking my head in one of the large rooms located on the main floor, I thought the size of the front reception area could easily become filled quickly with the amount of people I saw. After locating the classroom my meeting was being held in, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of windows in the room which provided a lovely view of a garden and an abundance of natural light. The classroom decor was modern and the seating comfortable.

It is best to park in the lot after the Hippodrome and not the first one lest you get trapped like the rest of my family. My cousin and I were in and out in 5 minutes since someone almost blocked me in. She had to guide me out. Great place to graduate! Congratulations to my cousin on his 4th degree and for being the class speaker! He delivered an incredible speech! Congrats all and Andrew! Wenz Cafe is on the ground level for much needed coffee and snacks, and the upper floors are full of study rooms with plenty of windows, rolly chairs, and there is even a TV in each room to project slides or lecture videos for reviewing. The entire building feels very open, which is important because as a medical student, you'll collectively spend days in AMEB, and nothing would be more depressing that being locked inside without any natural light. The second floor is home to the Colleges' lounges for each quarter of the medical student body. There's a computer lab with printers on the third floor and a quiet study lounge on the fourth floor. The staff who work in the building are always very helpful and friendly. Overall, AMEB is a great place to study.

Most of the professors are great, and the classmates are usually working professionals with families, so it's not the same drama that you may get when the class is fresh out of high school. All the classes are in the evenings, and there are computer labs available to do additional work and printing your papers. Of course you do have the option of doing the online classes. Even if you are not quite sure what you want to concentrate on they are there to guide you and give you the information needed. Never be afraid to ask questions. Strayer offers a variety of majors. There is always someone to help you along the way. Starting a new venture is an adjustment. Students come from different backgrounds. We are mothers' father's single household, caretakers and in the workforce. The first year one learns how to juggle your time. Everyone has a different study time depending on the needs of the family. Some study while children are doing their homework, others may get up early or stay up late. You must fine your place to maintain your studies. Many days will be harder than others but always remember this is your education and for whatever reason, you are doing this know you are important and never give up.

There isn't much room for parking, either street parking or you could try to pull your car up on the grass outside the field. Most of the organizations charge money to come watch the games, but really you could grab a seat and sit outside the fence and not have to pay. Overall, a pretty decent field... especially for Baltimore.
