A lot of young immature kids also come to this campus graduating Dundalk high or Patapsco high school. Also, parking is terrible around the morning and day classes be prepared to walk miles on end. It is an impressive campus with a diverse community of students and faculty. Our campus guide was a sophomore,she was an adequate enough guide. We were able to see the Terps baseball team practicing and getting ready for next season. This is a Division 1 (D1) school, the top echelon of school sports. The football stadium ranks up there with a few NFL stadiums. The stadium seats 46,185 and if you're into college football you know that doesn't include standing room. As we traveled from building to building there were so many students encounters going about their daily routines, students in classes, students studying in lounge areas students lifting weights, students working out and students just relaxing in the lawn. Once again I was impressed with the 8 libraries on campus. The school is in the process a building new dorm buildings and the few they have already finished look very impressive. Now the older ones not so much. A lot of the older ones had window ac's and again a lot didn't. This tour was very informative and my grandson was impressed however he's still weighing his options. He had already toured 2 other universities. Also the ride from NY to College park Md. is 4 1/2 hours so not too bad of a drive.

Also plenty of parking spots available to visit students living on campus. 4/5 Handicap parking spots are available in 2 garages we drove through, however the spots were pretty far away from the classrooms 5/5 for the attempt Visited one of my Favorite Maryland Universities for some reminiscing & shopping for holiday gifts. The items we pre-ordered were ready for us as soon as we asked for them. We then found the other shirts and sweatpants on sale and for the price couldn't pass them by. Had they had additional items & sizes/colors we surely would have bought more for the rest of the family who attended UMBC! The staff was friendly and helpful in the store so overall I would recommend stopping by there and picking up a few items 5/5 for store. 5/5 for the University overall. It was definitely a great visit and we would love to have visited with some professors who have remained there for their career making 3/5 of our family educated professionals. We came here for a Baseball showcase with my son and the baseball field was very nice. it was easy to get to and was wide open. There was plenty of seating as far as bleachers and non-bleacher seats. Parking was easy and the were bathrooms close by the field and were clean . The campus itself when walking through was very clean all the buildings were closed cause it was a Sunday including the cafeteria, but from what I saw that was able to get to and see the campus was very nice.

My cousin and I were in and out in 5 minutes since someone almost blocked me in. She had to guide me out. Great place to graduate! I visited for an informational meeting about one of the many certificate programs offered by the UMBC. The buildings main "reception" area is circular in design and not very large. I arrived a few minutes after the officially start time of the event, so I did not experience any crowding. However, after peaking my head in one of the large rooms located on the main floor, I thought the size of the front reception area could easily become filled quickly with the amount of people I saw. After locating the classroom my meeting was being held in, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of windows in the room which provided a lovely view of a garden and an abundance of natural light. The classroom decor was modern and the seating comfortable.

They also events such as a week of prayer, an Easter play, and a week long festival in July. The service consisted of several pastors giving the message as well as several songs sung at the start and end of the service. There is a cafeteria for people to get food afterwards. The people were friendly and happy to see us. There are also several buildings for Christian based grade school and a gym. Being right off 95 makes it easy to find.

The Kindergarten…read moreteacher, Ms. Anderson, was amazing, the first grade teacher, Ms. Preston, was too strict and my daughter felt very intimidated by her and at times was hurt and upset by her, the second grade teacher, Mrs. Williams, is nice and a good mix of stern, but kind. The kids have gym twice a week, art, music, and chapel once a week. I like that the school goes from a day care center to a Bible college. They have one class for each grade, so my daughter will always be with the same kids every year and will be able to make life long friends.
