A lot of coffee shops don't carry gluten free options, but scioto valley has several. They're so delicious you can't even tell their gluten free. The workers are really friendly and knowledgeable of the products they carry so don't be shy to ask questions. Their coffee drinks are almost like Starbucks, only a little cheaper. They use da Vinci and previsto syrups in their drinks which are typically mostly safe for gluten, but do your research on the flavors before ordering because some flavors are not totally gluten free depending on how sensitive you are. I'm giving this 3 stars because we only stopped in here for a moment but I assume that if I went back it could be 4 or 5. It's a cute little shop just off the highway so it's pretty convenient if you're on the road and need to pop in somewhere plus is local. They have a drive-through which made ordering on the run convenient. The dining room and drive through hours are different so depending on what you want, make sure you check to see what's open. Also, the hours are limited, especially on a Saturday which is a little inconvenient if you want coffee or tea late in the day. I got a black iced tea with a few shots of hazelnut. This isn't on the menu but it's one of my favorite drinks. I was really happy when I got it and I could actually really taste the hazelnut meaning they didn't skimp on the flavoring at all! Being in the car I hadn't dog and they offered him a treat! I personally love when businesses take some extra care and love on my pup! Great place. Friendly staff from this experience. I have a love-hate relationship with this place. Initially, I loved it because they had really good lattes and cappuccino drinks, but lately, I have grown to hate it for a couple reasons. First, it seems as if there is always an issue of whose drink to make first. I have been at the drive-thru window seeing them make other drinks before making mine with no evidence of anyone at the counter (you can see the counter from the drive-thru window). Meanwhile, I'm sitting there wondering whose drinks they are making if no one is inside and I'm the one at the window. I get the impression that they think if they make the drinks for the people in the cars behind me, they can clear out the drive-thru traffic faster, while the person, aka me...has to wait until everyone else's drink gets made before I get my own. That has happened on more than one occasion. Next, they are adding things to their menu constantly, which is a good thing but they have never invested in upgrading to a more professional menu board. They still have the one from when they first opened. They hand write on little pieces of paper and use scotch tape to let customers know about new items, which is kind of challenging to try to read all that stuff in a hurry when there are five cars behind you wanting their drinks and/or food and are hoping for a fast, efficient drive-thru experience like myself. So, I got fed up and stopped going. After a long break from giving my money to this place, I had to drive into the office last Thursday and decided, what the heck, I would give it another chance. I get in the drive-thru line anxiously waiting to order my favorite drink only to find out on a little piece of paper, scotch-taped to the speaker, their espresso machine is broken and won't be replaced until 05/23/18. Ugh...hate again. So, I order a regular coffee. Should be quick, right? No, there was a large order in front of me, 4 frozen drinks and after that, I saw her making someone else's drink after I got to the window. I waited almost 15 minutes in the drive-thru for a regular, black coffee. I understand waiting because of a big order, but once they drive off, I should immediately be paying and handed my drink, but that's not what happened. I found myself waiting for some unknown reason. Ridiculous. So, I think at this point, I need to just be done, completely. Unorganized, inefficient, frequent staffing changes, equipment failures, and paper notes everywhere...I can't take it. read more

Multiple times have been here and the WiFi never works. It's 2018, wouldn't think it'd be such a problem. Also, asked one of the 3 girls behind the counter 3 times across the span of one hour to reset and they stated that the drive thru has to be empty. Why do I as a customer inside have to wait for over an hour for several drive through customers that were here after me. Please don't offer WiFi if you can't maintain it. Well - I like it for the Latte and Coffee. Just ordered a breakfast sandwich. Egg - cheese - ham on a buttermilk biscuit. So you think hot right ? Hold on not so fast ..... biscuit and egg hot. Ham and cheese refrigerator cold. I thought well maybe they forgot. So I asked is the ham always cold and does it come like this. Answer was oh yea. I was like...ok can you please heat it up. They did by just tossing the whole damn thing in a freaking microwave. Has anyone had a Bfast sandwich where half of the ingredients is cold ? What the heck people? Also I expected it to be like breakfast ham ( cooked ) not !!! It was a slice of thin deli ham. I am always amazed why and how people who operate a place that serves food would serve anything mediocre. read more

I absolutely L-O-V-E the paintings done by local artist Jamie Mccleece! They're so fun to look at whenever I stop by for coffee or hot chocolate! It's a nice splash of culture in the middle of town! I like this place better than Starbucks! Nice second floor area for sitting and eating! read more

I literally found this place by accident today, and it is *exactly* the kind of coffee shop I like! I ordered a small latte, which tasted perfect; the coffee was bold without being bitter, and there was enough milk to add flavor and creaminess without becoming a coffee-flavored milk. I also ordered one of the chocolate hazelnut muffins, which was served warm so the chocolate bits were nice and melty. It was the right size, chocolatey without being too sweet, and had plenty of nuts--I recommend one! Although my order was to-go, I fully intend to come back and eat-in. The atmosphere was cozy without being kitschy, casual without being laissez-faire. In a word: comfortable. (Also, the acoustics were such that one could chat with a friend without having to shout over clatter, something that's happened to me in a lot of coffee shops.) The service was prompt, and genuinely friendly. I had the option of using real plates and mugs if I had stayed in, which is always my preference. I have been here multiple times and I will continue to go! Great coffee and even better service. There is a chalkboard with a saying written on it that goes something like "come as a guest, leave as a friend," and that is exactly how they treat you. I highly recommend their peanut butter brownie and Scioto Valley Mocha. read more
