There's no reason to go anywhere else in Utah County, Scissor & Bone is the best! There is a reason I haven't gone to anyone else in over a year. I've been growing a beard for about 4 years now, and it's something I take a lot of pride in. It would get to the point where I knew I needed a trim, but I wouldn't do anything about it because I didn't trust myself to trim it. I DAMN sure wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. Another one of my good friends (Who's beard ALWAYS looks good) has been with Talley since day one, so I figured I could trust the guy. I got a trim from him once and I HONESTLY HAVE NEVER LOOKED BACK. If you're looking for someone to trust with your beard, make this your first stop. And ever since I started getting haircuts too, I've never looked better. Right off the bat you feel at home walking into his little shop. Its very personal and one on one, which I thought might be a little awkward but it never is! He sits you down and helps you figure out a cut that will work with the shape of your face and head. He even shows you how to style it so you look good every day instead of only when you leave the shop. This was huge for me because I have some pretty insane cowlicks. Style has always been a big part of my life. I have been to many, many barbers and hair salons. But many of them just want to give you the cut that they want. And as a customer usually I want my hair the way I want it. I went to Talley off of a reference and I honestly can say that I received the BEST CUT OF MY LIFE! I went in and was received with probably the chillest barber that I have ever met. I honestly can't even stop there. His style and knowledge of cuts flows perfectly with the cut that you want. He suggested which cut I should get and I left way more handsome than when I went in. I told him the cut that I wanted and he made a couple of suggestions to make my mediocre cut into the styled cut of the century. Usually the cut is the first thing you think about and then maybe you would do a shave. But here with Scissor and Bone a cut and shave just HAVE to go together. I have never enjoyed a shave as much as this one. It is the best razor shave that I have had done here in Utah! I am never going to anyone else. Best haircut I've had in a long time. I got my haircut with Bree and she knew what she was doing. She did exactly what I wanted with my hair and it came out looking awesome. My fiancée loved it too and said it was the best haircut I've had since I met her. She also waxed my eyebrows and steamed my face with a warm towel, which was a nice touch and rounded out my experience. I've never had a barber offer that before. I came out of there looking like a new man. I've been to other barbers in Utah and this is the best place I've been to so far. The customer service alone is outstanding, the services are high quality and stand out from anywhere else, the barbers have a lot of experience and that shows in their cuts, and the overall vibe of the place is super chill and welcoming. I knew this place would cut hair so that it would match hair type and head shape, which is what makes it impossible to compare to everywhere else I've been. They know their hair types and head shapes and make a cut that fits your face the best. I didnt want my hair too short on the sides and I told May that, but it came out shorter than I wanted but it still looks good and matches my face. Talley talked to me and apologized it was too short on the sides and showed me example pictures of cuts that he has done that would work and I am impressed. He went out of his way to make it right and even offered that the next cut is on him. They have amazing service and really teach you great stuff about styling and shaping your hair. read more

He shows you how to style it yourself! It was awesome actually getting a lesson on how to make your hair look amazing everyday! I left with a huge confidence boost and I love my new cut. I just had my second haircut from Tyler yesterday. After spending nearly $200 on four haircuts at other places, I decided it might be cheaper to spend more money and get it done right. On the first visit, Tyler spent just over an hour cutting, washing, and educating me on how to dry and brush my hair. I even bought their labeled hair products. It was money well spent. I was excited to get my second cut and was very pleased again. The thing is, I am 65 and I don't want a young man's haircut nor do I want a basic old man's cut. He knew the proper style for me. Scissor and Bone doesn't offer the cheapest haircut you can receive, but this full-service salon offers the best. This guy gives a mad haircut! He knows how to make your hair look great. He's very detail oriented. He gave my hair volume and texture. He gave me lessons on how to do my hair.
