Covid hits, and I'm in panic mode because I didn't know where to go. Fortunately, I found John, and let me tell ya.... he went above and beyond my expectation. I sent John a picture of my boss, and briefly told him his hobbies and likes, and John responds by saying, "oh, that's easy". Within few days, he sends me the most amazing, spot- on caricature of my boss, on a motorcycle, flying his remote control helicopter. When we presented him the caricature, I think I saw tears of joy on that tough guy's face. I will definitely call John for our future retiree.

But what was most notable was on top of producing a great caricature that is still hanging in my son's room but he had my otherwise standoffish little guy (at the time) cracking up the whole time. His style is very fresh and he is a true talent. We recently saw him at the San Diego County Fair. We didn't get a chance to sit for a new caricature but we did stop and watch for a little bit. Still as talented as before and then some. He was doing a themed couple caricature. It came out really cool. A friend of mine had seen him a couple times at Phil's BBQ and got a family caricature done as her family grew over the year. She has them framed in her house too.
