They ran their tests, charged me a fee and could not replicate the failure. Once I got the computer home, it crashed once the game was being played and they said they did everything they could and I was out of luck. I decided months later to see Adam at nerd rangers. He was very thorough in gaining background on the issue. He asked me whether the other repair shop tried to run the actual game? I was not sure so he went ahead and loaded Fortnite and said he would do his best to replicate the issue. Later that day he reached out to let me know that he believes he found the reason the game crashed (as it did for him) and he felt confident that he fixed the issue. When I went to pick up the computer he reassured me that if for some reason the fix didn't work he would continue to work with me to identify the problem. Adrian Ortega of A&O responded within two hours (on the…read moreSaturday before Christmas), came to my residence and quickly diagnosed the cause and got my laptop booted. The issue was that even though I had a McAfee VPN, the malware had created a entryway and prevented the complete McAfee suite of products from loading. He downloaded some recommended applications, quarantined the malware which enabled me to complete the security installation. I plan to use his assistance again on a project I have coming up in spring and am strongly recommending A&O Computer Plus!
