I joined for a variety of reasons, none of which matter, but the reasons for calling it quits, do. With the exception of one or two very nice call centre operators, every individual department let me down from the beginning; accounts, insurance, Collabria Credit Cards and Wealth Group all failed me at some point. They handled a probate account, like it was the first one they had ever seen. The most blatant of sins, surfaced repeatedly with the Wealth Management department. I moved a substantial investment portfolio to CCCU and in seven years I had five different "Financial Planners." They kept leaving and only once, quite by chance, was I advised that a change was taking place. I am a person who is loyal to my providers; I've been with the same cell service for 38 years; the same big bank for more than 50 years. When respectful, acceptable service is provided, I see no reason to change. It seems like others have had good experiences, so maybe fate chose me to be the sole recipient of all the incompetence, to shield everyone else from it. The only words I can find to describe my personal experience with CCCU are; small town amateur.

After 5 years of dealing with very friendly and courteous TD bank employees in a past city, I…read morerecently switched to the TD bank on the corner of Bowen Rd. & Dufferin in Nanaimo. Last week, I came across a complete idiot who enjoys publicly humiliating customers. I asked him for a withdrawal, gave him the amount, and he came back with LESS THAN the amount I asked for. When I asked why, he shouted "Well, you only have *** amount of money in your account. He didn't say anything about the rather large overdraft that could've been dipped into. Nor was he at all concerned with Privacy laws, apparently, because everyone in the room turned to look at me. I was so shocked and humiliated that I just ran out the door. Never go there, people. If they can hire one sick sob like this one, they can hire more.
