Scott's path to real estate began in his youth, with an interest in architecture, history, and antiques. As a teenager, Scott developed a passion for cars, using his entrepreneurial spirit to start a business restoring and selling them right out of his own driveway in Wayne. But when his high school principal explained that a recent aptitude test revealed that Scott was perfectly suited to a career in real estate, he understood the opportunity in front of him. By his junior year, Scott was already taking classes to earn his real estate license. In 1979, at the age of 21, Scott was a full-time real estate professional.
