Brian also was one of the most responsive vendors I hired, often getting back to me within an hour, and was super easy to work with. Most importantly, the team was both patient and instructive at the same time during both, the photo shoot and our wedding day, so we never felt rushed nor did we not know what to do with ourselves! We had more fun than we ever thought we would! We aren't used to posing in professional photo shoots and felt quite apprehensive going into it when we planned our engagement shoot, but the minute we met the wonderful team at Love Lit, we were put immediately at ease. Therefore, our wedding day was easy breezy with the team! The images came out amazingly! We love how vivid the colors are and how they really capture the spirit that is us as a couple. Brian and his team do an amazing job setting us up in the best way possible using the various backdrops of the city/venue. We ended up with a nice variety of formal, fun, and romantic photos. I especially loved that they got some amazing candid shots of friends and family. We have a great range of gorgeous, posed scenic shots and "in the moment" dancing shots. For our engagement photos, we did a lifestyle shoot in the artsy Los Feliz neighborhood. We had only scheduled an hour with her that day but she was flexible and allowed us to go slightly over. The photos came out really cute and you wouldn't even know we all were sweating in the sweltering 90+ degree weather that day :) Laura and her 2nd shooter shot our wedding at the Millenium Barn in Costa Mesa, CA. I love her journalistic style of photography and eye for details. Both photographers were like photo ninjas because we rarely even noticed them during the wedding, unless we were doing posed family/friend photos. I was pleased with the beautiful photos from our special day and quick turnaround (about a month or so) for the photos. As a bride trying to find vendors for the big day, you tend to deal with a lot of stress and BS including vendors trying to upsell you on their products/services. Laura was everything BUT that. They walked us through the process, and guided us through all the different permutations of photographic scenarios. They were extremely well organized and everything went very smoothly. Their positive energy was an added bonus. They had wonderful ideas and suggestions, while also diving into our goals and priorities. We felt heard, while still benefiting from their expertise, experience and creativity. On the day of the wedding they divided and conquered. It was so wonderful having two photographers, as that allowed us to get amazing photographs of each of us getting ready for the day. While ever present, it didn't feel like we were constantly being watched, and so we were able to relax (as much as possible!). As a wedding team, they are unobtrusive (didn't even know they were there most of the time), and at the same time, totally on it -- making sure we got every permutation of wedding party photos, putting aside time to do gorgeous golden hour pics, etc. They are very experienced in weddings and made excellent suggestions that made our photos better, such as prepping us on how to subtly pose the rings while at the alter, and making sure our speed photos were dynamic and well composited (by having the guests come to us). I was expecting normal headshots, but Jay went above and beyond to showcase his creative direction by giving me different poses to try, angles he thought would suit me, and even asked what I thought was my "good side" to ensure I looked good in every picture. He made me feel comfortable right away and gave me directions throughout our session (i.e. where to look, tilt my chin in ___ direction, hand placement for the most natural pose, etc.). He even had me take some photos with my laptop to add a fun twist to corporate headshots! His creativity was so innovative that he was also able to turn an outdoor shower into an additional backdrop! After our session I was able to pick a few raw photos for him to edit and I was so impressed at how quickly he was able to edit everything.
