    Diamond Oaks Village

    Diamond Oaks Village

    (2 reviews)

A rare occurrence has happened in the independent living facility industry . A treasure has emerged…read morefor those over 55+ who are seeking a senior independent living facility can share in. It is Diamond Oakes Village in Bonita Springs, Florida. When looking for a senior living facility the important factors are cost, location, quality of life, food, service, safety, friendliness of staff. Diamond Oaks Village excels in all of these factors. The complex is fairly new built in 2017 an originally open as a 55+ community. In June 2024, it was converted to a independent living facility by Discovery Corp. They have a variety of 1,2,3-bedroom floor plans to choose from. All include a screened in lanai and indoor parking. Pricing is the lowest in the area: My 2br/2ba 1176 sqft unit is $2855/month on a yearly lease basis with no enormous buy-in expense. You will find cost is at least $2000/month lower than anywhere comparable. Similar cost savings are available on all size units. The food is beyond comparison. Their chef, has19 years experience at a major Las Vegas hotel. Each dinner meal is fixed from scratch and it is like eating at a four-star restaurant. There is an NCH hospital emergency facility located right next door. So medical assistance is within sight. Also, the sheriff's office is located a mile away which is an added deterrent in an already extremely low crime area. Many senior living facilities there is a pall over the atmosphere, and you cannot wait to leave. Not Diamond Oaks Springs. They have decorated the entire facility in an upscale fashion. The staff have been to train to treat all residents and visitors as guest. There are always fun activities if you choose to participate in them. I have met no residents who were not happy with their surroundings. And you look forward to the meals. It is truly an enjoyable dining experience and each time the menu changes there are new exciting culinary entrees to choose from. Other features that I appreciate are the maintenance dept lives on site. I had two small issues, and maintenance responded within a few minutes and the issues were resolved. A really important consideration is you do not have to evacuate during a hurricane. Which is unusual for Lee County, which has mandatory evacuation for most senior living facilities. I believe the reason for the exception for Diamond Oaks is that it new up to code construction, no ground floor units and it is on the same electrical grid as the hospital. Electricity has never been out for more than a few hours. At the last facility I was at it was mandatory evacuation during Irma and the cost was $800 or $200/day to stay at a local hotel. It is rare for an equinox of reasonable cost and outstanding food and services to happen in the senior living industry, but it has at Diamond Oaks Village. All the senior living facilities owned and operated by Discovery Corporation are given extremely high ratings by the Wall Street Journal. They are considered a premier company in this industry. If you are in the market for a senior independent living facility, check out Diamond Oaks Village at 24110 South Tamiami Trail, Bonita Springs, Florida 34134. 7/22/2020 From The East Coast Of Our Beautiful Florida…read more No, I have not visited Palmetto Pine Lakes. However, thanks to the tribute paid to Palmetto by Loyal and Dedicated Yelp Elite Dawne F. Her inspiration with the beautiful pictures and heart uplifting comments during her walks as a Nature Lover. I must say, Palmetto Pines Lakes. Flowers, birds, butterflies and amazing sunrise and sunsets. Makes my day so much better. Coping with the COVID 19 fear here in our home mostly night and, also most days. Since, I'm a survivor. My immune system has to be monitored. If you've never had to go thru treatments. Thank your lucky stars. Our community Three Oaks in Vero Bch, Fl. Is not well established as of yet. Based on the fact that construction was finished only one year ago. By the looks of Dawnes pics. Palmetto Pines Lakes. Is very well established with beautiful foliage. And, natures gift of wildlife. Hoping my review stays put. As I do plan to visit Palmetto Pines Lks. among other communities on the West Coast. My daughter and my grandchildren live in Ft. Myers. Cape Coral, Fl has caught our eye. Good Real Estate is always a win. A Pic is worth a thousand words:-) Chachi B. Hospice Nrs.Ret. Thank You, Dawne. For your invested time & inspiration. Keep those Yelp Pics Coming They Are Golden:-) If not for your exposure of Cape Coral I would not considered the W Coast. Since, I lived in Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Fla for one yr. due to my husbands employer at that time.
