This office also sees patients with asthma, but she is on a treatment plan for that with a doctor out of Lubbock, TX. Her new doctor in Hobbs was finally on board with figuring out her situation. We have been to this office twice. I made her initial appointment for April 8, 2026 back in December 2025. Wow, right?! That is quite a long wait for allergy sufferers. We never saw Dr. English. I am not even sure he is still around. We instead saw Dr. Reynaldo R. Martinez, MD. Dr. Martinez has great bedside manners. He explains everything well. My problem is that my daughter does not want to get weekly injections even after all of the tests and the injection she's already had. We were given all of the medicine so that we could get injections in Hobbs. At our first appointment the office told me we could decide after my daughter's second round of testing whether we wanted to pursue weekly shots, but before I knew it they had the vials ready and went over the plan with us. So I listened because I want my child to stop suffering and stop sounding sick to other people, but I also survived a strikingly similar childhood and adulthood. Survived. As in I'm writing this Yelp review. Lol. It would be totally different if it was cancer treatment or a chronic autoimmune disorder. But the other huge setback is the Hobbs office wanted $40 per visit for two shots that take less than one minute to administer. Thaaaaaat's kind of ridiculous if you ask me - and I supposedly won't get charged an office visit, but the Hobbs office couldn't give me a definitive answer. (I didn't weigh this facet in my review rating.) Then she has to sit in the waiting room for 20 minutes so we can watch for any reactions. She did NOT like that idea. And THEN we have to return to Roswell every 7 weeks. She was okay with that idea because she misses school all day or gets to take a road trip, but um... I have a job. I have another child too. The fact that this place is 120 miles away from is in Roswell, NM is another huge setback especially with the schools constantly pressing for attendance. I enjoyed the staff members here. The wait time was a bit long. Definitely took forever to even get an appointment although they did call me twice to see if I could come at alternative dates in February and March and there was no negotiating my schedule at the times. Free easy parking in a shared heath care plaza lot. Fun fact: The still use a typewriter here. You'll hear it clacking away pretty much your entire office visit.

I'm so glad we found Dr Cathey! He is very professional. He's quick! When you show up to your appointment, if you have to wait at all, it's just a minute or two. He gets you adjusted and gets you out! There's always a steady flow of patients moving through the office and he has a great rhythm that is aware that people have other things on their schedule to get to. I can't tell you how much he's helped us, but it's a lot! I'm not a huge fan of chiropractic care, but Dr Cathey is definitely the exception. I would highly recommend him for assistance with your back pain.
