I will admit, I had issues with this place initially, but they scheduled me with a different nurse…read morepractitioner since then who has been much more understanding about my situation. They have been very accommodating and have worked with my chaotic schedule and have even rescheduled a few appointments, last minute, without penalty. The office staff is very nice and it seems like their operations have drastically improved since they have changed locations. I can't believe that they don't have a single good review. I had to write this one to defend them. I had a salty first impression but they totally redeemed themselves. It was difficult finding a good facility for my mental health needs in the Nashville area and have had a great experience with them so far!

Me & my husband have come to the conclusion that the nurse practitioner Sarah Golden simply did not…read morelike me, because I had a great experience for years until it switched doctors & staff. They first had an issue when I had to reschedule several appointments during the death of three of my immediate family members beginning a few years back, I rescheduled most of those well before the appointment days. It was an incredibly hard time & I was stuck out of town a lot unexpectedly. But this was only a handful of times in over a decade. I tried the last few appointments to discuss things about my mental health with the nurse & was told things like "let's see if it is still a problem next appointment". I have also been told "maybe you need to see a psychologist or therapist" when I brought up worrying about losing another family member & how it was contributing to my ADHD. That response confused me but it always seemed as if the appointments needed to stay within a 10-15 minute time frame so I just went with the flow & that was the majority of my appointments the last several years. My last appointment I drove for an hour and unfortunately was in a traffic jam behind an accident so I called 15 minutes before my appointment & informed them I would possibly be a little late because I was barely moving. I was told it didn't matter how long I had driven that if I cannot get there within ten minutes of my appointment time they will not honor my appointment. After she said that I tried to drive around the stopped cars into the median to get to the exit so I didn't lose my appointment but a vehicle got angry and pulled to the side to keep me from doing that. Finally the traffic began to move as the cops cleared the accident and I was 3 minutes away from the office which would put me 2 minutes past their cut off time. I called to inform and was told they will not see me if it's even one minute past. So I drove for an hour and then sat an additional half hour in traffic just to turn around and go back home. I took the day off for nothing. All over two minutes with a communicative patient who has been coming there for over a decade. I told them that I thought this was very wrong because through the years I have sometimes sat in their office waiting to be seen half an hour past my appointment time or more and I have never complained once. I begged to be seen considering I had driven so far. The girl was dismissive when I explained what was happening & how I was right around the corner and had taken the day off & it's only 2 minutes past. Today I received a letter from them that stated I had harassed their employee so I was no longer welcome as a patient after a decade there paying out of pocket thousands. Luckily I have a recording device in my vehicle and it proves in no way did I harass anyone. I even asked others to listen to it to verify my feelings on that & they were blown away by this letter I received. I shared my experience on a community mental health support group blog and have found others with similar stories as well with this office so at least I've made some new friends over this. If someone being upset is deemed as mean or harassment then maybe this office needs to reconsider the type of medicine they practice. I simply pleaded to be seen because it was only two minutes past and said it was unfair for them to treat patients this way yet not care when those same patients have to wait on them many times for far longer than this. I feel this stems from them wanting to get patients in and out within a very short time and simply prescribe pills because they certainly do not genuinely care about the emotional health of their patients. I had no desire to go back to that office after that because I have no interest in a doctors office who wants you in & out in minutes. The letter was just another kick in the gut from this place since it changed staffing. I had ZERO issues there for years. I highly recommend using a psychiatrist that actually cares about you more than the bottom dollar and this isn't the place.

Also, the office staff at Dr. Bell's office is friendly and thorough. I did not wait hardly at all. Anne Meade is an amazing provider. I have seen her at two different offices now, happily following her when she moved. She takes time to listen, and is warm and down-to-earth. She is also obviously smart and a capable provider, letting me know about new medications and how to get them affordably. You will be happy with your care with Anne Meade (and you'll probably want to be friends with her too).

Then had the nerve to charge me $200 for a missed appointment that was always a $50 fee. Needless to say I never went back. Fast forward about four years and I just opened a collections letter for said $200. Uh yea no. I hate leaving bad reviews but I'm not paying for an appointment when they turned out to be more about him than me. Not to mention their billing dept constantly screws up and they held my prescriptions hostage over every red cent no matter if it sent me into dangerous withdrawal. Then when we'd go through our statements, prove we already paid, they wouldn't even act sorry for putting me through withdrawal. No no no.
