I guess people in Georgia like drinking so much that they even have a State Bar. Where everyone in…read morethe state can go to officially get drunk. It's a beautiful grand old building. Much like your grandfather. It looks shiny and new so they must maintain it pretty well. But then lawyers do have a lot of money so what did you expect. I definitely give it a 4 star for its grandeur and awesomeness. And I could have sworn I posted this already. Whatevs.

A disability access request went to the State Bar of Georgia. Here is what the Bar's second highest…read morelawyer put in writing. I am a disabled dad who likes dogs, donuts, and dad jokes. I asked the State Bar of Georgia for a basic disability accommodation so I could take part in its own complaint process, since their website is not ADA compliant and neither is their system for submitting complaints. On May 12, 2026, at 2:12 PM, on Bar letterhead, the Deputy General Counsel of the State Bar of Georgia wrote to me: "The State Bar is not a public entity subject to the ADA." "it does not appear that you require assistance in preparing written submissions." "your invocation of the ADA process may be directed less toward obtaining accommodation... and more toward securing a particular substantive outcome." Read the second one again. The lawyer who helps run the office that disciplines other lawyers looked at a documented disability request and decided it did not appear I required assistance. Now the part he left out. Eight days earlier, on May 4, 2026, a Senior Assistant General Counsel of the same Bar had already granted my accommodations in writing: written only communication and accessible electronic format. The very next day after the denial, on May 13, 2026, at 12:08 PM, the Bar confirmed it again: "The State Bar has approved your accommodation request." So one Bar lawyer was granting the accommodation while another Bar lawyer was writing to me that it did not appear I needed one, and suggesting I was working the disability process for an angle. Same office. Same week. Same file. THE TIMELINE May 4, 2026: A Senior Assistant General Counsel grants the accommodations in writing. May 12, 2026, 2:12 PM: The Deputy General Counsel writes that it does not appear I require assistance, and questions whether I am using the ADA process for a substantive outcome. May 13, 2026, 12:08 PM: The Bar confirms in writing that the accommodation is approved. WHY IT MATTERS. This is not a story about one rude letter. It is a public office, funded to hold lawyers to a standard, telling a disabled member of the public that his access request did not look real, on a day its own colleague was approving that same request. THE EVIDENCE. Every line above is a verbatim quote from Bar correspondence, with the date and time it was sent. Nothing here is paraphrased. CURRENT OUTCOME. The complaint about this conduct was dismissed by the same office that watched it occur and did nothing. CORRECTIONS. If any official named here by role believes a quote, date, or time on this page is inaccurate, identify the specific item and it will be corrected in writing. Otherwise all the the exact copies can be found on https://www.adamatters.com/

A few…read moreyears ago, my father reached out to them for estate planning after being unable to connect with a previous attorney. From the very beginning, Attorney DeBarr-Johnson and her team handled his needs with professionalism, care, and empathy. It was important to my father--an old-school, analog kind of man--that he work with a team that could meet him where he was. The Estate Attorneys of Atlanta did just that. They not only provided expert legal support but took the time for the little things that mattered--like walking down to help him navigate paying for parking on his phone. In a world that can often feel digitally overwhelming, these small acts made a big difference. Their kindness and patience left a lasting impression on both of us. As my father's health declined at the end of 2024, I reached out again--this time for urgent assistance. Not only did the team step in immediately, but they also visited us personally to ensure every legal need was addressed quickly and compassionately. That meant the world to both of us. My father's biggest wish was that his affairs be handled in a way that wouldn't become a burden to me. Because of this team, that wish is being honored. Following his passing in February 2025, I've entrusted Estate Attorneys of Atlanta to carry out his final wishes--and I am so grateful for the continued support. Thank you, Attorney DeBarr-Johnson and team, for your unwavering care throughout the years. You will truly be in good hands here.

PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF! DON'T HIRE THEM, TURN AND RUN NOW!…read more This has been by far the worst possible experience you could have with hiring an attorney. The basics: she's late for everything and anything, she'll keep you waiting a minimum of an hour each meeting. Tamarra stretched this whole thing out for over a year plus (mind you she never finished the job) while feeding us bullshit excuses she thought a brain damaged handicapped man and his overwhelmed elderly mother trustee would buy along with dog shit quality client deliverables, first year law students can't be this fucking low quality. For real, her work dog shit, she gave us a final copy of the trusts with errors and someone else's name not mine, then lied saying it was an original document when we know damn well you plug and chugged into a template after that. The living will was all kinds of screwed up and barely resembled the things I said in the meeting about what I wanted, 50% was the wrong information! The office is also full of incompetent idiots. They don't know how to mail anything...like they can't figure out how to do postage so it required us to pay the difference that we had to Hound her about getting back. Her office manager doesn't know how the mail works either, the whole place struggles with it all and can't figure out how to write checks and lie to us using the cliché "check's in the mail!" excuse without ever giving the tracking number until we got real angry. Do yourself a favor and run like the plague from this firm, I can't believe this place is in business and Tamarra hasn't been disbarred for this kind of level of incompetence. Too Long Didn't Read Version --- DON'T HIRE THIS FIRM, YOU'LL REGRET IT
