I hired this company to paint kitchen cabinets at the Lake of the Ozarks. Little did I know that…read morethe "employee" I met was actually a subcontractor. Also, the owner, Devin Claycomb doesn't even live at the lake. He is in Pennsylvania, and apparently subs out work at the Lake. He uses his wife's PayPal account. They promised and agreed to paint the cabinets in five steps: Cleaning, sanding, priming, 1st coat, 2nd coat. Said there was a 24 hour curing process in-between steps. The only thing they did was 1 coat. They painted and re-hung the cabinets in the same afternoon. Video footage at my home prove they only put one coat on, and did not clean, sand, prime or put a second coat on. The paint is peeling after just a few days due to their negligence. They also oversprayed onto the ceiling and "repaired" it with a different color paint. They admitted to lying about the completion of the job, yet still asked to be paid in full. Upon being "caught" via the videos, they offered to first touch things up, then to just spray a second coat on the doors only. (The only way to fix this since they were not prepped right is to strip, sand, prime and then repaint). That being said, they now are threatening me via lawsuits, which I'm happy to defend. Proceed with caution.
