I called Adam the Orkin man to make them go away "permanently". He came and sprayed the grass and around my house, but they did come back. So Adam came back and did a more thorough spraying. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't have to call him back a third time. No matter what, he came back the same day I called again. You can't ask for better service than that. The cost to kill these pests was $300. They give you a 30 day guarantee; so make sure they're gone.

I am trying to spare anyone from going through what I went trough and Harlem River Hounds was my…read moresolution. So if bed bugs are a problem, make sure you take a few minutes and read this. The thought of bed bugs makes my skin crawl....literally...and I don't like anything with more than two legs sleeping with me if you know what I mean. And the thought of those blood sucking parasites sleeping with my daughters really freaks me out. And through no fault of my own this plague was visited upon me because I spent a night in NYC at a 5 star hotel that will not be mentioned by name because they were kind enough to comp me free nights in December 2013 and pay for my home to be exterminated and a nondisclosure agreement was signed. The problem is bed bugs are a tough kill and the exterminator did not get the job done on the first try and I did not find this out until my home was re-infested and it does not take much to freak out teenage girls so when the bed bugs showed up a second time let's just say things got a little stressful. The point is a well trained dog would have prevented much of this (had I only known). At the first sign of trouble I could have gotten confirmation that the problem was bed bugs and I could have used the service to make sure the extermination was successful. I learned the hard way that all Bed Bug Detection canines are not trained the same. There is an organization called NESDCA (google it) that trains and certifies the dogs and the handlers. In fact a study done by the University of Florida concluded that when the dog and the handler followed the NESDCA training protocols they were 97% accurate. Both Jill (handler) and Jerry (canine) are certified and both were very friendly and professional....yes Jerry was very friendly and professional. Be proactive at the first sign of trouble and if you have to exterminate follow up with a NESDCA certified team. I cannot recommend Harlem River Hounds highly enough.
