We bring our ~6 yr old kitty Chloe to get groomed (blow dry and brushed out) maybe every 3-4 months; getting her sanitary area trimmed is critical too. After posting on Yelp, 17th and Pawlished was the only responsive groomer - and was able to get us scheduled within a week or so - on the next "cat (only) day." Although it was about a 30 min drive, it was totally worth it! Our kitty seemed comfortable and content when we got home. I loved how if we wanted to stay and watch the process we could watch the groomer in action, observe our cat from the parking lot, we could. Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

My parrot is usually very aggressive around new people, biting, hissing, the whole display. However, he was instantly best friends with her! Little guy did not seem to bite or struggle at all during the entire grooming process. He was even making his "happy clicks" which are typically reserved for his favorite people! He welcomed lots of head scratches too. I was SHOCKED, I've never seen him be so friendly with anybody outside of our household members.
