There were 24 unique dishes that covered different elements of cuisine from the western region. I had savory oyster ice cream, along with artichoke foam and delicious bread that came alongside a poem. There were surprises here and there, with the chefs proudly discussing the elements of the dishes. I appreciated hearing about the dishes as it told a story of what went behind each dish. The staff members seemed passionate and were so kind. I look at my pictures and get so happy thinking about how I felt when I tried the dishes. Some were so surprising! The meal ended with a nice touch where they gave me a menu with chamomile seeds embedded within. They told me I could plant it and I plan to. What a great experience! I highly recommend. Everything was delicious and creative. I would go back again. This element was very memorable for my trip to Ireland.

The variety, portion sizes, local ingredients, flavors, presentation, and overall menu were all great. We also got the Irish drink pairing which was worthwhile and another great exposure to Irish cuisine. It taught us that they do make wine in Ireland! We visited early on a Tuesday in November and, believe it or not, without a reservation. Who shows up to a small, tasting menu, Michelin-starred restaurant without a reservation? Turns out I'm that person. They were very accommodating and gave us a table, which I suspect is not possible at busier times. The place was pretty empty for most of the meal, but a few other tables arrived over time. The restaurant is pretty small, with only one room, and it has somewhat simple, bright, modern decor. I really liked how it felt bright and not stuffy. The service was very good, with good descriptions of dishes and drinks. During my trip to Ireland, I also visited Chapter One in Dublin (2 Michelin stars) -- I preferred our meal at Aniar. If I can give one piece of constructive feedback, it would be that gels and tuiles were a little overused overall. The first time a tuile was on a dish, it was delightful; by the fourth time, it was a little tired.

We had to wait a couple of minutes for our table then were seated. Prior to coming to Cava Bodega, I had tried some tapas but not much so I wasn't sure what to expect. To start, my friend and I got a glass of wine then ordered food. For dinner, we ordered the anchovies with piquilla pepper, patatas bravas, and paella marinera. I had never tried anchovies so I was admittedly nervous but the dish was sooo good. Patatas bravas is a dish I've tried before but I really liked Cava's version. This was also my first time trying paella and it was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and had a great combination of flavors. For dessert, my friend and I ordered the churros. Can never go wrong with this sugary cinnamon delight and we were definitely happy! Overall, I had a great time at Cava and it was the perfect birthday celebration. If you want to give it a try, definitely go for it!

This two-story restaurant (with dining in the basement) is bustling especially on weekends, so making reservations is recommended to avoid disappointment. We started with a Spanish red wine and ordered the following tapas to share: 1. Mussels with almonds and white wine sauce 2. Gambas al ajillo 3. Paella marinara 4. Squid with lemon mayonnaise 5. Croquetas 6. Churros with chocolate sauce and ice cream We had a lovely dinner here, the vibe was casual and fun, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. They have great, efficient customer service with good price points. If you happen to find yourself tired of bangers and mash or fish and chips, some Spanish tapas are a good recommendation for something different while in Galway, Ireland.

To our surprise, despite the name, this was a full-fledged restaurant and bar. So, we found another tea house to spend the early afternoon, and returned that evening for dinner. Upon return, inside we were greater to a very ornate Asian aesthetic inside. Not only did they have a decent selection of Asian teas, but also a rather expansive dinner menu. We were each given a small jasmine tea to start, which was cold brewed (rare to see!) and quite flavorful. I ordered Shredded Duck Noodles for the entree which were delightful. The noodles themselves were very well flavored and chewy. On top of this, there was a surprising amount of duck throughout the dish. Typically you see the protein being skimped on, but not the case here. The asian veggies mixed throughout were a welcome addition as well Overall, it was a great vibe, great selection, and great food. If you enjoy Asian cuisines, you wouldn't be going wrong here.

I ordered black bean beef with tumeric rice. It was a generous portion, with a good amount of very tender beef. I had asked for the peppers that normally comes with the stir fry veggies to be replaced with asian vegetables, and I think I got a few scraps of bok choy and Napa cabbage in the mix. Most of the veggies ended up being scallions and onions. I also ordered one of the Pu-erh teas, as this is supposed to be a strong tea and can steep for a long time in very hot water without turning sour or bitter. While the tea was stronger than most of the teas I've had during my vacation in Ireland, it was still quite a lot weaker than expected. We asked for more leaves to be added to the pot but either they didn't actually add any, or didn't add enough to make a difference in the flavor. Overall a decent restaurant, would recommend to anyone looking for Asian cuisine.
