I would recommend coming into this dive with a little more experience than me (I'd only done 2 dives before this) if you want to fully take in all the animals. From the start, he clearly explained the conditions and what to expect. When the day we initially chose turned out to be less than ideal, he was flexible and helped us reschedule for the following day, which ended up being a fantastic dive. His calm, casual demeanor immediately put me at ease, especially since it had been a couple of years since my last dive. Underwater, Zach was attentive and thoughtful, pointing out marine life we absolutely would have missed on our own. The rental gear was also excellent--clean, high quality, and thoughtfully prepared. He even had the correct weight setup ready for each diver, which made the whole experience smooth and professional. As a local, I plan to dive with Zach again to continue learning the area and progress my diving skills. If you're diving in La Jolla, Zach is the person you want guiding you.

Everyone that was at the meet site was super friendly and inviting which was great being kind of in the background quiet person they really made you feel like part of the group. The sea lions were their playful selves giving our fins a little tug and swimming around us. I'll definitely do future dives with them and absolutely recommend.

He called me right back and immediately assuaged all my fears. He was empathic explaining he had a child the same age and understood why I would be nervous but that he would take care of my son. He was also was extremely knowledgeable on the effects diving could have on a type 1 diabetic and he took it extremely seriously, explaining that if he saw anything that would be concerning for him he would cut the dive right then. The day of the dive we met him on time and he was a very kind but also a no nonsense type of guy which me and my husband really appreciated. He explained everything to us about the dive with just facts and by the time he took my son in the water we both felt 100% comfortable with trusting him to take care of our son. I would highly recommend Davor to anyone! On a side note, we purchased the video package and we got back so many incredible videos of our sons dive! So the video package is extremely worth the cost!

There are ton of play activities for the kids: blue climbing mountain with slides, cool spaceship looking merry go rounds, swings, climbing, obstacle courses, etc. There are tons of tables, benches, and lots of shady areas for picnics or relaxing while the kids play. The dog area may not have grass, but it has dirt, and is usually kept clean. I actually prefer the dirt compared to artificial turf. Something to note is that there is only one park, so big dogs are combined with small ones. Theres a small obstacle course for dogs to jump and run through. And for the humans, there's also a few benches on the side to sit at.

This is more based on the dog park that's on the same lot as the Children's Park. This one uses…read moreturf, which i find has it's benefits on the days after a rainstorm since it doesn't get muddy. There are four big pine trees with separate retaining walls around three of them for owners to sit down. With it being so close to the bay, there's often a nice breeze that goes through the park. There's no divide between small dogs and big dogs, so it's best to just keep an eye on your dog, and many owners around here are usually respectful. The street parking immediately adjacent to the park is free, however, it has a limit of 30 minutes, and the parking meter workers are strict on it if they're around. I bring my dog here around lunch time because those who live/ work in the area tend to bring their dogs during their break time and my dog gets his socialization time. They close 8am-11am MWF for maintenance/ cleaning. Currently, both gates are broken so it's not as secure as it should be, and who knows when the city will actually fix it. There're a few agility structures and a water dispenser. The children's park itself looks pretty cool for kids with a lot of structures with slides and swings. There's also another separate area with fixed exercise equipment that looks well- maintained. The water feature in the park is a water feature, not a pool.

Where can you find a large art sculpture and the many areas made of wood and the climbing is for exercise.

Childrens park one of the best educational parks and for the many structures you can have fun the whole day.

One thing I noticed is that I haven't really seen any lifeguards around, so if you don't know how to swim, I wouldn't recommend climbing down into the water. I also see a lot of people walking their dogs here, which is something I personally like. Between the ocean views, the sunset, and all the people out enjoying the outdoors, it's just a nice place to spend part of the day.

After the SD Writers Festival and then grabbing a slice and a beer on the main strip, I strolled over here to enjoy the last rays of the day. It is just gorgeous and breathtaking. I sat far back today, sitting on some rocks, ear buds in listening to my favorite playlist and just meditating while Mother Nature put on her beautiful sunset show for us. Highly recommend visiting if you get a chance.

We didn't make a reservation but it was early on an overcast weekday and we got right in. Seriously the best experience ever! It was our first time on a jet ski but the guy working was so chill and helpful and gave us all the info and tips we needed. Being out on the harbor was magical.. such a blast! Will definitely be a core memory for both of us. Can't wait to do it again!
