Communication was excellent through both email and phone calls. I did not cash a check because it must have been lost in the mail and they were on top of it. I received a phone call from them mentioning that the check they issued me has not been cashed yet so they sent all the paperwork that came included along with the check for me to keep for my records and so I could deposit the check! Most other companies would not have done the same due diligence as well as taken care of me. I would definitely use them again for the next real estate transaction and highly recommend them!

Joe and Vickie Everly listened to our situation and worked very quickly to create solutions for each and every predicament that we had immediate issues on; before even opening the escrow deal. There were a lot of people involved with the sale and my relatives made this deal more complicated than I thought humanly possible. Considering the confusion upfront, the group was calmly put at ease when talking with Joe about what options we had and the direction moving forward to create timely suggestions and directional leading. Our neighborhood is made up of posh intelligent home owners who expect the most of all that live around them, thus the same persists of who we deal with in real estate and in services. While ultimately the home did sell, it was a nightmare for us, because of Susan. She was unprofessional and difficult to work with. We heard this description of Susan several times from other agents/service providers during the 4 months we worked with her, so it was not just our personal experience. As we were remote sellers, we agreed to pay a 6% commission on the house, even though the going rate was 5% (with Susan receiving 3 1/2%) as she said she would go above and beyond as our agent, hiring and meeting workers to do repairs, checking up on the house, etc. This extra 1% we paid for these "services" ended up costing us even more, due to numerous errors on her part! *She rarely (if ever) met with workers, preferring to leave the key under the porch mat. *She did not check up on their work afterwards.....when we made the 3 hour drive, or had local relatives check, on numerous occasions we found the house left unlocked and sliding doors and screens left wide open days after workers had been there. *She brought in a mold expert who did not do any testing, but told Susan we had mold on the walls and would need to hire a remediation specialist at the cost of thousands of dollars. Susan insisted we need to hire these specialists. Fortunately we hired our own person to come in and do an actual mold test which came back negative. No mold whatsoever! *She did not tell us to have the gas turned on after the termite tenting, causing extra work for us when the buyers did their home inspection. *She gave the escrow company at least one bill we had already paid (over $6000) that was then paid twice as it was taken out of our escrow refund.....fortunately we caught it! *She had us hire someone to come out and find the septic clean out ($175) information that was on file with the city and available for free. *She discouraged us from trying to negotiate with the people who ultimately bought the house, told us we needed to agree to all their terms, even though we did not want to, however we foolishly listened to her because we thought she had our interests at heart. So we ended up getting less for the house than we could have. *On the final day of closing when the buyers wanted us to do more work, we said no. Susan misrepresented us to them and we ended up with a bill from them for over $1000 after escrow closed. *Finally, she sent us a CD after escrow closed with all the documents relating to the sale of the house on it, plus additional documents with personal information on them relating to at least one other client of hers, completely unrelated to us. We could go on, but we think you get the point.
