This was such an incredible experience! Captain Becca is the absolute best! She is funny, personable, knowledgeable, and loves what she does! Not only was it a gorgeous experience, it was also such a relaxing and unique view of the nature and habitat! While it was cold on our trip, we did see a river otter and a little alligator! I would absolutely do this again! Thanks, Captain Becca!

We booked our tour through Viator who completely blew it. When we showed up sea serpent did not have our reservation. However, captain Mike was amazing and got us in for a tour and at a cheaper rate. We went out with captain Becca who gave a wonderful tour. You can tell this family run company has a great love for the area and what they do. Loved our tour!! Thanks so much!!

WE HAD A BLAST! Fernando was an EXCELLENT Captain. Exhilarating and educational. We'll be back to do it again!

We didn't know what to expect on this trip but had an amazing time. Our guide Justin, was funny and knowledgeable. It started out relaxing and low key as we went through the no wake zones and once on open water, we revved it up a bit. We heard some cool stories about the area and even learned a thing or two. If you are looking for a wild thrill ride, this is not for you. But if you want a good time, good stories and music that is actually relaxing as well, this is a trip for you. And if mother nature is in a good mood, you can see some wildlife. We did get to see some baby gators crawling about and some turtles resting on a log. We didn't wait around for the mama lol.

We went on the airboat tour with our son, his girlfriend, my husband's father and his wife in late April. What a great day we had!! Our Captain was fantastic, knowledgeable and funny as well as a good Captain!! We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Sea Serpent Tours!!!

What a fantastic 90 minutes! Captain Tyler (not Rebecca) was charming, funny, informative and really genuine. The opportunity to experience that kind of water tour was tempting but I wasn't expecting the level of education and entertainment that we received. The number of ppl on the boat was carefully decided by # of parties, and it was clear that safety was a significant part of the company's value set. There were two little ones on our tour and they were absolutely Zen, so no worries there. I 100% recommend taking the time to experience the beauty, the information, and the amazing life in, around and above the water!

    Cool Airboat

This was not only an airboat tour it was an education about the early history of Florida , the wildlife and the ecosystem. Captain Justin was super cool and funny, big personality . We did St. Augustine , great times

Great driver and very fun experience! Played fun music on headphones while touring the swamps. Easily booked online and had a code for a discount!

The online registration is really easy and the location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. You can check in and then wait up at the bait shop which has a large porch with seating and fans. There are drinks and snacks available in the bait shop. You can bring coolers and snacks onto the boat including beer or other drinks. The captains are very cool and provide a great experience. They navigate through the water and point out some wildlife. You have to understand that the time of year will usually determine what you see. We saw lots of turtles and birds and a few baby / juvenile alligators. I live in Florida so I knew we probably wouldn't see much. They play a cool soundtrack over the headset while they are navigating through the water. They do stop for a short period and provide some history of the area. I do wish that they provided more higher speed travel through some marshy or swampy areas. If you are looking for a ride through the swamp and through the marsh then this is t the place. If you are looking for a good airboat ride with a look at some wildlife then it is great. Overall, it is a good experience and the staff was very customer oriented.

CPT. Tyler was fabulous! Answered all our questions and was very informative! He was very accommodating to our group because of the prosthesis! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

(To show how much Yelping means to me, our visit here was in August and I'm just getting around to thinking about this now.  Obviously I forgot way more than I remember.) Overall basic impression: If you have never done an airboat tour this one is perfect for you. If you have, I don't know. If you're a miserable SOB like me, I don't know. The website is super easy to use and the marina is very easy to find with plenty of parking and the loading area with their shack right on the water. The tour takes you up the Trout Creek, into Palmo Cove where you kick up a little bit of speed and if it's windy that day you get a nice hemorroid check from some of the bumping/chopping. You eventually make your way a short distance up Sixmile Creek and that's it. What did we see for wildlife that day? Not much. One tiny gator and two or three turtles. Most of the time is spent with a headset on listening to music and a hearing about a few "legends" that happened in the area. The Capt. gave us some basic wiki-type knowledge of the area, gators, boats which overall nicely complimented the experience. Like everything in life, not all things are created equal and not all things resonate the same to everyone. With that said, we did an airboat tour a few years ago with a different operator down in Christmas. That guy and the tour were pretty much perfect and to compare that experience to this one is honestly not fair to Sea Serpent. Why? Because we covered more ground and saw more things all for relatively the same price. I'm an ROI guy so that experience is going to obviously in my mind resonate better. Does that mean that anyone should avoid coming here. Not at all. It's just for me, once was good enough.

When is the best time of the year to see alligators and turtles ? We are there in December. Is it cold? Thank you.

So we rescheduled for mid-May. This time, everyone made it;))) We arrived a few minutes before the boat launched. It was extra crowded as we were told another tour company cancelled, so they let those customers on our boat. It was tight, but we were ready for some fun! We were moving along on Matanzas Bay about 10 minutes. I went to the restroom and noticed some open space in the back of the boat. I went back to the front and got me friends and that's where we hung out the remainder of the boat ride. I'm not a fan of restricted space, so this move felt great! We saw dolphins and an amazing sunset. We went under the Lions Bridge, went by the St Augustine Lighthouse and Castillo de San Marcos. I can't explain how absolutely perfect the weather was that night. But if I go again, I will choose mid-May! Not too hot or humid. The staff was fabulous and friendly! And I wasn't wrong! The tour lasted about 90 minutes (and it leaves promptly FYI) and takes you along the shoreline of Amelia Island - past the shrimping boats and past a Civil War era fort - before heading towards Cumberland Island National Seashore. This is where the true fun of the tour was for me. I had no idea really the history of the island and found it fascinating how the Carnegies and Rockefellers and more of the country's elite used this random Georgia seashore as their private escape. The history of both Cumberland and Amelia Islands is incredibly fascinating and the guides for both the Florida and Georgia sides respectively were well informed and personable. Plus - you'll very likely see a ton of great wildlife throughout including dolphins and wild horses and pigs. It's a great way to spend an afternoon in the area and a fabulous introduction to Cumberland Island National Seashore/Park.
