It was my husband's first time on an airboat tour and he particularly enjoyed it! We got to see several gators, got really great explanations of gator life, excellent narration of the history of the area. Captain Justin and John did a great job. Very peaceful, comfortable airboat. Just moved here from CA and wanted to see some alligators. So we decided to take this tour on 1/23 at the St Augustine location. Alligators are not out during January so, we didn't get to see any. The tour was so much fun tho! Our tour guide Justin ( I hope that was his name) was so funny and full of knowledge. He said March is mating season so we will go back again. We got to see a river rat, 1 snake (eww), and tons of turtles. It was so relaxing and fun. The sentry was beautiful! Really disappointing - about an hour of the tour was listening to some cheesy self-produced soundtrack of local folklore while looking at nothing in particular. Would suggest they get headsets the guides can talk through to point out animals and discuss natural history. We did see baby gators and some turtles but the lack of wildlife was really surprising. read more

I dont even know where to begin with this! From Captain Mike to the boat ride to the snake at the end - it was all fantastic! I would do this again and again...I am sure it would be a brand new experience each time. The place itself is right off of State Road 13. And since there were seven of us women, we all had to use the bathroom. The entire facility was clean and everyone was so nice. The bait shop has everything you need for a few hours out on the water. Once we checked in, Capt Mike had us all complete a waiver and we got on the boat. He explained some of the rules, told us a little about what to look for and then we put on our headphones and started the tour. The music was timed perfectly for everything we saw - such a good job! The stories, the selection, all of it really contributed to the adventure. We got to see a pod of manatees, some baby alligators, lots of birds and fish as well as hear a bit about the history of the area. Captain Mike is a gem! Once we docked, one of Mikes daughters was there with a small boa constrictor that we could pet or drape around our shoulders if we wished. I wished! So gentle, you could tell he was used to humans. All in all it was an awesome experience and I cant wait to do it again! read more

Awesome day on the water! Captain Becca, who was our tour guide was very fun and had a great personality, she was fun! It was just me and my boyfriend and the captain on the boat which made it more personal which was nice. I highly recommend taking a tour with them. It was a little warm out but it was cool to see wildlife up close and personal. We saw 2 baby gators, a lot of barn sparrows under a bridge which were also cute! A vulture invading an osprey nest and the mama osprey was chasing off the vulture, also saw a bunch of turtles sunbathing on logs. It was a great St. Augustine experience riding around on the boat itself. The captain was awesome getting up on plane and it was fun swooshing by boats!! We really enjoyed the airboat tour and I booked it for my boyfriend's birthday present if anyone wants to have a great airboat tour, this is the place to go to! A few years back, we had a tremendous experience with Captain Mike on the Sea Serpent Airboats. In November 2023, we were visiting St. Augustine again with three other couples, so we booked another ride. Unfortunately, this recent trip was nothing like our first experience. While the Captain was nice, the trip was not much more than a leisurely ride on what could have been a noisy, slow pontoon. Our friends said it was the first "geriatric" airboat ride they had been on. The Captain said they had to go slow because of insurance requirements. It was very disappointing and none of us would recommend it. read more
