I guess that is a bit of a shame because it means that it is unlikely to be turned back into a railway station, but then again this is Adelaide and they really don't seem to like trains here. However, it is still pretty cool that this really old station is still standing, just don't expect to catch any trains from here.

This station has changed a lot since I used to come down here as a kid. Well, in a way the station…read moreitself hasn't actually changed all that much, though it is somewhat cleaner, and nicer, than it used to be. One of the major differences is that it is no longer the end of the line station, and the trains that come here are now electrified. Oh, and unlike most of the stations in Adelaide, this one does actually have facilities, and a bus interchange too.

While I'm counting down the days (months?) till the Seaford train hub is opened, for now I'm a…read moreregular at the Noarlunga Centre Interchange. Timetable wise most of the services stack up, and I can catch a bus/train here to be met with the connecting service almost straight away. Although there are the times that I feel i've been waiting forever. While there isn't too much rubbish, this place never feels too clean, and occasionally there are the faint suspicious smells. I have never seen the ticket booth open in the past year, so who knows if it still operates, instead a cash only deli is your best bet for buying tickets when you don't have the change. But even they seem closed most of the time. At least they have security at night, and decent lighting, because this place can get rowdy at times.

Now, this is quite a surprise - an Adelaide station that happens to have restrooms, but then again…read morethis station does happen to be near Marion Shopping centre so it is quite a major station. Still, as with most stations in Adelaide, this one is as functional as possible, while being as cost-effective as possible, meaning that the restrooms aren't all that great, and there are no staff. Mind you, it is in the process of being demolished as they send the tracks under Oaklands Road.

Well, this station really isn't all that much better than many of the other stations in Adelaide,…read morethough the shelter does happen to be larger than the others that I have seen. However, to be honestly, it really isn't all that great, though I should mention that not only is it accessible, but they have a subway which means that you don't have to cross the tracks. Mind you, these subways are prone to flooding, which is probably why a lot of them were removed, but at least its there.

The only thing that I can really say about this railway station is that it is clean, and it's…read morereasonably close to the beach as well, which I sort of guess counts for something. However, like a lot of the stations in Adelaide this place doesn't really spur my imagination. Basically you simply catch trains here, and that is about it. Sure, they do have some shelters, and a time table, but that is also basically about it as well. Oh, and it is one of those split stations too, meaning that the platform that you catch the train to head in the other direction happens to be on the other side of the road, which probably isn't too much of an issue anyway.
