It's about a 5 minute walk from where the cruise ships stop and across and down the street from cow bay. Walking off the cruise ship make a slight right up the hill to the gardens and follow the signs. When we visited the week of June 9, 2025 the gardens had just been manicured. All of the soil was turned up and there were no weeds. The flowers were in full bloom. The place is immaculate. It's the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen. It's a small garden. Be sure to walk up the ramp from bottom of the garden and you get to the top of the garden with a magnificent view. The welcome sign to the garden is on the opposite end of the tunnel.

Being this is a little…read morecoastal town in British Columbia and there's really not much here, this garden is considered a special tourist sightseeing place even though it's not that big. It is, however, pretty well kept and the flowers are colorful and pretty. We had a good time walking around, taking pictures, and enjoying this little garden.

This is very similar to the Coal Harbour Seawall back home. If the weather wasn't so cold it would have been a super nice walk. I heard in the summer time its busy here. People would come here for strolls. There are plenty of free parking here. Very nice place. Great place to take pictures. Nice viewpoint of the water. In the summer time, you can see the cruise ship coming in heading to the Port of Prince Rupert.

My recommendation is to get off, grab some Canadian gift shop items and get back on the ship as many people were doing. I'd say maybe an hour off the boat walking around was more than sufficient. Very nice people in the small town that actually had working phone booths, but other than that, not much of a tourist attraction. Another recommendation is that you use a credit card while in port and not U.S. currency. The reason I say this is that one, your bank converts your money into Canadian which is huge savings and two, they don't give U.S. coin change. They round it down to dollars if paying by cash and you are paying the higher Canadian rate.

Anyways, it's a small park, but it's a good and clean one and there's a small but cute play ground for little kiddos. The view is amazing though, being right next to the ocean and it was a beautiful day when we visited, walked around, breathed in fresh Canadian air and just chilled. There were also some cool flags representing many nations of seafarers who have been in Prince Rupert, BC, and have given their lives. All in all, a nice park dedicated to those who have lost their lives at sea, a sad reality, but a meaningful way to remember them.

The entrance of Rushbrook Trail is just behind Bob's on the Rock. It is a cute little short trail…read more There are no inclination. So it is a super easy trail. To walk from one end to the other it takes about 20 mins or less. The view is nice. The entrance is at Rushbrook Floats, and the exit is at Seal cove. Approximate length is 1.2 km. There are parking at Rushbrook Floats and it cost about $1 per hour. It is free parking if you park outside Rushbrook Floats and it is about 5 mins away from the entrance of Rushbrook Trail.
