The guy was so friendly and was so kind to give mini cookies and little cookie patches to our kids. I wanted to order all the flavors but decided on two large cookies. The Ballpark was my favorite because of the different ingredients and the sea salt on top! The Coffee Toffee Crunch was unique and I enjoyed the sprinkling of sweetened powdered milk and espresso. I've never had such a thin cookie that was also so chewy! It can be a bit crumbly just due to how thin it was but it was such a tasty treat! What first caught my eye was an old board game of "Let's Make A Deal", with original game show host, Monty Hall on the front. That immediately got my attention because his son, Richard, hired me once upon a time, for one of my earlier jobs, when he was News Director for KTVU (aka channel 2 in the Bay Area). You'll find old SF matchbooks going for $1.00 each, old maps of SF, local cookbooks from way back before everyday folks even photographed their food, let alone even care to look at photos of other people's food. There are also piles of old copies of National Geographic, old school lunch boxes, and even a beehive for sale, if you're a beekeeper, or know of one. Just to many other nostalgic items to list. I've taken classes here for around 7 years, and to be completely honest, dancing here has…read moredefinitely helped me develop some foundational skills. I am grateful for having the privilege to even be taking classes at all, and I understand that teachers have it pretty rough when it comes to their occupation. However, this is definitely one of the most ridiculous things I've ever experienced in my entire life. There is no doubt that Mr. Wu is very skilled, but when it comes to teaching, he may just be one of the worst teachers I've ever encountered. There is a fine line between discipline and being an obnoxious idiot. Here are some of the experiences I've had in his classes: - Mr. Wu seems to believe that students with "talent" can do well, and often neglects the students that are slower or less skilled. He definitely plays favorites, and has a very short temper. I have seen him guilt tripping his students, telling them they should be ashamed of themselves, they should try harder because their parents are wasting their money on them, etc. - I've seen him drive away his students from the class, with a few incidences involving forcing his students into their splits with them being in pain and clearly not capable of doing the splits yet. It is extremely dangerous to force someone into extreme positions that the human body is not designed for, since muscles can rip and bones can break. He should understand the consequences of forcing someone's splits open, and should know better than injuring his students out of spite. - Instead of teaching you technique and small exercises to strengthen and sharpen your skills, his class would be more like "spin like this until you can do it without falling", which can lead to developing bad habits and will probably slow down your learning process. - Mr. Wu does not respect privacy and will gossip about students and parents with other parents, even when they are present in the studio. I've had a situation at home where I had no control over and had to arrive late to class. I contacted him about my situation, and I stepped into the studio with him screaming at me about how much of a disappointment I was for coming to class late, and told the entire class about my situation at home as if it was a lame excuse for not being on time. These are just a few examples of my experiences in his class. There are definitely a lot more things I could cover, but in conclusion, I don't recommend this place at ALL. Do not waste your money here. There are lots of ballet classes around the city. Try your luck with literally any other class.
