I was scammed by Nicole. If you're reading this, please find an actual CPA and not a CPA…read more"candidate". Nicole was hired to clean up my books for part of 2024, 25, and 26. We had a great conversation, and she seemed capable. However, the price was unclear. My business is small with minimal transactions. Nicole initially quoted $2 per transaction, but her minimum charge would be $1,000 even if I didn't have that amount of transactions. I agreed to this. I paid a $1,500 down payment on May 20th and asked Nicole not to send me surprise billing. She promised to send me a proposal, but it was delayed until I demanded that she stop working on my books as I saw no progress. I advised her that I would find another accountant to complete the job. By then, she claimed that 2024 (7 months) was complete and that I needed to pay for the work she did, even though I never signed a contract (it was never sent until after she knew she was being replaced). Nicole has billed me an additional $4,307.50 for 7 months of work that I have no documents to show that she ever did. I have since hired someone else to complete the job, but now I'm being threatened with legal action. I also read Brandi's review and wanted to give Nicole a chance, but I regret not taking the advice above.

He said at the end of our initial consultation that after he received my forms via email, he would reply back with some paperwork that he would need filled out. After that I never heard from him again, despite multiple follow up emails and phone calls to both his office phone and cell phone. I even left a voicemail, which was never returned. Roy seemed knowledgeable about taxes during our brief meeting, but he has now left me in a precarious situation because I was relying on him and he unresponsive, and we are only a couple days away from the tax filing deadline. Absolutely terrible communicator. I wish he wouldn't have accepted the initial consultation since he clearly doesn't have time to service his customers.
