Has a 1 ft section for the little ones that is separate from the rest of the pool. Not a ton of chairs but we didn't have trouble finding any in June. Staff here are what make this place go from good to great. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. They seem to enjoy working here. Rooms are well maintained. There is a Cafe on site where you can get lunch and dinner. Only ate there once but it seemed good enough. Parking spots are a little tight and you only get one so if you have two cars you will need to find another place to park. Office has coffee all day and my sister preferred to get it from there rather than make it in the room so that was a plus. Office also has games you can borrow and we took advantage of that one night. I would happily stay here again. It was a nice relaxing week.

We booked a room that slept 5. It does not. The room was extremely small, the pull-out couch was a bed of springs, definitely outdated and not an updated accommodation. The room was filthy when we got there. What was the most disappointing was the constant smell of marijuana. We watched owners of units smoke out of a bowl, within feet of the pool where there were young children. Our room constantly smelled like pot, while there was a No Smoking sign on the door. As a NJ resident myself, with family that does partake in what our state has legalized, there is a time and place - smoking a bowl or a rolled joint in the common area was disrespectful. Since the units are individually owned, I am sure some rooms may be better than the one we just left. The room we stayed in had absolutely no storage. 3 out of the 5 of us lived out of our suitcases. We couldn't use the kitchen table, as that was used to house the suitcases. The room may sleep 5 but definitely did not accomodate five. Didn't really accomodate 4, either. Not our cup of tea, we will not be back.

We have been guests…read moreat The Tides for several years and always found the rentals to be well kept, a positive reflection of the individual owners of the condominium units. This was not at all the case on our most recent visit. Upon entry to the room we were greeted by a very strong musty odor, and stained wall-to-wall carpeting. We immediately told our children they were not to walk barefoot through the unit, not knowing what they might be stepping on. The general condition of the apartment was poor. Walls, doors and switches (especially in the bathroom) were filthy. At best the bathroom might compare to one you might find in a cheap motel. There was pubic hair and other matter on the floor. My wife and I cleaned the bathroom floor ourselves with supplies we had to purchase at the local grocery store. We also purchased plug-in air fresheners in an attempt to mask the odor of the unit. It's hard to believe this disaster of living quarters could be in such close proximity to the beautiful beaches of Cape May. We used the room only when we had to, avoiding it morning through night. In summary, the condition of room 403 is the equivalent of a fraternity house. The owner obviously doesn't care about her guests, rather collecting a $3,000 check from weekly renters without being bothered. Now for The Tides. A staff member admitted the room was "disgusting", but there is nothing they can do about it other than passing the information along to the owner. They do however advertise the room on their website, so I am challenging The Tides to do the right thing. In addition to the photos posted on their website, I would like to see the photos I took for this Yelp review added to the website for room 403. In all fairness, vacationers who have saved several thousand dollars to visit beautiful Cape May should know what they are spending their money on and not be deceived. In my opinion, if The Tides doesn't step up and let potential guests know the true condition of their rooms, they are just as unethical as the owner of room 403.

My wife and I recently booked our vacation through Island Realty and rented a condo number 314 at…read morethis property. The Condo had been totally refurbished beautiful wood cabinets granite countertops induction stove top ( which by the way was very hard to operate even after reading the extensive instructions). KitchenAid refrigerator Bosch dishwasher very nice amenities in the kitchen. Bathrooms were nicely appointed with all new tile -- new sink spigots-a wonderful shower plenty of water pressure. However the master bedroom mattress and beds in the unit were very uncomfortable . Queen size bed in the master bedroom was small. There we're two sofas in the living room and it was obvious they needed to be replaced when you sat in the cushion --you sank too far down making it uncomfortable -- springs were shot. The balcony had nice new furniture for seats and a high top top table. So while we enjoyed our stay we do not believe we will be returning to this unit.
