News flash: nobody appreciates a ticket when they've spent $3500 to stay at the residence and it's pretty insulting to be told that you're illegally parked when your right tire is just on the line because otherwise you'd be opening your left door into a concrete pillar. Really tacky; management needs to get over themselves.

A little personal Wildwood history…read more.. Growing up as kids, my parents didn't have a lot of money to spend on exquisite vacations. Our big trip every summer was a few days in Wildwood Crest, where we'd stay religiously at the Beau Rivage Motor Inn located toward the end of Atlantic Avenue, near the border of Diamond Beach. It was at this little motel where some of my favorite coming-of-age memories would be made, like my first real kiss with a girl named Jen from Clifton, NJ. It was where I stored the last few memories of my Nana Ree and Pop Pop Bill, my grandparents who always vacationed with us, and who both passed away in 1984. It was where I shed my first tear for a passing celebrity -- my favorite TV personality growing up as a kid, Jackie Gleason, in June 1987. And it was on a balcony looking out at the ocean on the last evening of summer 1990 where I had one of the most heartwarming "goodbye" conversations with my mother, just days before I would leave for college at the University of Maryland and my whole life would change forever. That was the last summer we stayed at the Beau Rivage, and Wildwood Crest was just starting to transition ever so slightly to what it has become today. Rising from the remnants of the original Diamond Beach came a massive resort complex, started in 1987, and built by the Morey's, that would bring high end condos to an area long known to cater to blue collar tourists, attracted by Wildwood's neon signs, tiny little motels, and bang for the buck. This was the rise of Seapointe Village. Of course, Seapointe was way out of my price range, and so I ended up bouncing around to different little motels over the 90s and 00s with the guys and whoever happened to be our lucky girlfriends at the time. It was in 1991 when I first met Marc N. and learned he and his family were also Wildwood fanatics. And his family actually owned a condo at Seapointe Village. Score! And so the affair with Seapointe would begin. But as the years pressed on, more and more developers began taking a page from Seapointe, and Wildwood saw the demise of many of its iconic Doo-Wop motels to make room for condos that got nicer and nicer with every build. Seapointe started feeling old and dated, and we eventually moved on. Marc N.'s parents even sold their unit. For a few years we upgraded to the beautifully appointed units of Coastal Colors just up the block. But their pool sucked because it never got any sun, and the cost simply couldn't justify that and the general lack of ocean views. We then downgraded for several summers to Ocean Towers, located at the southern end of the boardwalk. Having just invested $10M redoing their enormous oceanfront outdoor deck, complete with a new pool and private cabanas, we liked the idea of spending half as much money to be in such a perfect location with such nice amenities. But you can only polish a turd so much. Having been built in the 1970s, there's just no escaping the fact that you are ultimately slumming it when you get back to your room. At the same time we were downgrading, Marc N. and his family were upgrading to The Grand. And while The Grand is probably the most elite resort in Wildwood, it's ridiculously expensive to the point where you cannot justify the cost versus the value you get for your money. So this summer we all decided to return to Seapointe Village -- my family, and Marc N.'s family, And boy, are we glad we did. Seapointe has come such a long way since its inception. There are so many different types of towers and condos and residences to choose from, it truly is a village. And each community has its own unique outdoor area complete with pools, hot tubs, fire pits, and other fun amenities for the kids. There's even a large indoor pool and hot tub for those cold and rainy days. Add in a few tennis courts, playgrounds, a private beach, picnic areas, gorgeously landscaped grounds, a waterfall pool, and a little beach grille perfect for lunch and snacks throughout the day, and I can honestly say that Seapointe has it all. Again, being backed by the famous Morey clan, who pretty much dominate all of Wildwood, you know you are going to get great quality and value for your money choosing Seapointe. We are officially back in our home away from home, and I don't plan on cheating on these guys ever again. Our families absolutely love coming here, and yours will too. Bonus points: You can view photos of all the units online, and yes -- our unit looked just like photos. And the one maintenance request we put in was fulfilled within a few hours.

We stayed 2 weeks at Unit 111 which was loaded with issues from beginning to end. Sleeps 8 with 4…read morespoons, 2 forks etc. Ridiculous. No places to sit, beds horrendous etc. very disappointed in how it was advertised. The Grand itself was nice. The pool and beach service alone made it worth it. Ricky at customer service was helpful. Would never return to this particular unit.

I…read morehave sold units in this complex and the owners and renters like it for the multifloor layouts, the large garages, the large pool area and a short walk to the beach and also The Crest Tavern and the new market where Wawa used to be. SInce prices here are in the 400's this makes Diamond Sand Villas a great buy.

The Condo had been totally refurbished beautiful wood cabinets granite countertops induction stove top ( which by the way was very hard to operate even after reading the extensive instructions). KitchenAid refrigerator Bosch dishwasher very nice amenities in the kitchen. Bathrooms were nicely appointed with all new tile -- new sink spigots-a wonderful shower plenty of water pressure. However the master bedroom mattress and beds in the unit were very uncomfortable . Queen size bed in the master bedroom was small. There we're two sofas in the living room and it was obvious they needed to be replaced when you sat in the cushion --you sank too far down making it uncomfortable -- springs were shot. The balcony had nice new furniture for seats and a high top top table. So while we enjoyed our stay we do not believe we will be returning to this unit.
