Harmony Hearth & Home - After 12 years of never being serviced, these folks THOROUGHLY cleaned and made our old gas fireplace new again!

Unfortunately, Harmony Hearth and Home are the only Harmon Stove Dealer in Cheyenne. I will try to…read morestick to the facts, rather than just venting. I have had Harmony Hearth do the annual service for my Harmon pellet stove a number of times. I have always found the service techs (if that's the correct term) to be personable enough. However, I have learned to double check the service after they leave and have had to finish the job more than once. My impression is not that they are lazy or dishonest, but just that they do not really know all the stuff that needs to be done for the annual service. I have also had Harmony out for repair work. They replaced the hopper latch once. That was a simple task and they got it right the first time. The bigger, but not complicated, repair was replacement of the combustion blower motor. This requires unlatching and sliding the stove out of its insert, unplugging the motor, undoing a few wingnuts to remove the blower, removing the impeller from the blower (one screw), attaching the impeller to the replacement motor, reinserting the blower, tightening the wingnuts and plugging the new motor in. (Simple enough that I would have done it if I knew the fault was the combustion motor in the first place. The stove just gave me a "status" error light and didn't work.) The initial blower motor was about five years old when it went out and I run the stove 24/7 during heating months so that is not a knock on Harmon (although the Harmony guys are always telling me that I should switch from the top rated stove brand to another brand which is better. A brand they sell . . . .) Anyway, on the initial service, the tech showed up in a reasonable time but it took several service calls to get it fixed. (One to diagnose after which the blower had to be ordered, another to replace the blower, another to diagnose the continued noise which (the auger was wearing out) and another to come back and replace the auger.) Ouch, that was a bit expensive. After all that, the repairs were complete, the stove started and worked fine and I thought it was the end of the story. The bill was a bit steep, but whatever, I paid it. Unfortunately, the replacement combustion motor was after market, not OEM, which I did not know about. The cost difference is about $80, which I would have paid had I been given the option. The after market blower went out about 2/3 of the way through the first heating season. I called for warranty service, and was given an appointment months later after the heating season was over. When I asked why the delay, they said the owner does all the warranty service and that was his first available appointment. With no one else available to service the stove in Cheyenne, I had to grin and bear it. When the warranty service appointment came due, it was not the owner, it was a technician who was unable to get it fixed. I reset the appointment for short time later with the owner, who showed up as scheduled. After inspecting the blower, he said that it was not a bad blower, he just had to break it lose from a carbon buildup to get it to work. That is not supposed to happen and he did not really have an explanation. Sounded funny to me, but the stove was running so I let it go. I got a $50 bill for what was supposed to be a warranty call because the blower Harmony put in less than a season before wasn't working. While not happy, it was only $50 so I paid it. Now, the first cold snap of the next year, I have run one . . . . one bag of pellets through the stove and the blower motor quit again, exactly like last time. I called to see if I could get them out to deal with it, they would not commit to servicing it under the warranty and said they would have to talk to the owner about when they could get out to look at it. I have not received a return call yet. . . and have a feeling that, if they do call, they are going to say they are booked until after the heating season is over again. Obviously, I am frustrated enough to post a review. I have a simple rule for these things. I give people the benefit of the doubt until I feel they have given me a reason not to. Then I just don't deal with them again. I have now ordered an OEM motor and will just replace it myself. I have also reached out to next closest service companies in the Northern Colorado area, Advanced Comfort in Greeley and Lemons Heating, to schedule a mid season service. (Yes, I hate disassembling and cleaning the thing.) Hopefully, I will have a better experience there. UPDATE: To be fair, I am updating this review with a note that I did receive a voice mail from Barbara at Harmony Hearth and Home about scheduling a service appointment a day or two after I posted the review. By that time I had already called the manufacturer, got the part numbers, found them online and ordered the replacement parts. Although my mechanical acumen is comparable to Frasier and Niles Crane, I got the job done in less than an hour.

These folks are excellent! Ignore those old negative reviews, as the new ownership really knows…read morewhat they're doing. Terrific customer service and outstanding work to thoroughly clean & service our gas fireplace. We could not be more pleased!

You advertize "The Home Depot Delivers When, Where and How You Want It"…read moreThat does not match what your delivery service provides. I ordered 4 water heaters on 5/29/25 to be delivered 6/04 or 6/05. I don't have them yet, and shipping can't tell me when they will be delivered. I am without hot water, and can't schedule a plumber because he will want to be paid for waiting. POOR DELIVERY. VERY UPSET PRO CUSTOMER.

First let me start out by saying after my experience with Home Depot in Sterling about 6 years ago…read moreI said I would never buy any appliance from them again. However, we were in need of a new washer and dryer. I was in the store and they have an amazing sales associate in the appliances section. I ended up buying a Washer/Dryer from her as she was such a bright ray for this dark store. I thought it was worthy to give them one last chance. Things were going good. She placed my order and it was delivered the day after it arrived at the store. It was actually delivered very quickly which was a surprise. I was told they would be out to install the unit the next day. When the guys arrived to install the unit they stated that they don't install the units they only get them to the door. We were talking and I told them I was told they would install the unit. They helped me get it set up to the point where I could get it installed from there. I started a load of clothing in the washer that went off without a problem. Then we started drying them. They dryer was malfunctioning and would not dry the clothes. I attempted to run it on different cycles but it was not heating. I called the store to which I was told that I would have to bring the unit in that same night if I wanted my money back. They had offered a 48 hour money guarantee but that starts at the time the unit arrives in their store per the home depot staff. I requested to speak to a manager and got "Josh" he is a real peach. He basically told me there was nothing he could do and said he was not going to call his manager because she was not at work. Something about the word manager means to me that you are on call to field problems but I guess that is not the case there. I had no option but to load the unit up and take it back to them that same day that it was delivered. Half way to the store the manager did call me and said that she had a solution. I said well I am already on the way so that is not going to be a solution for me. Long story short this place is shady. Thank goodness I did a load of clothes and realized that it was not working. Thank goodness I did not wait till the next morning to call them. The sales associate in appliances needs a raise. She is the only positive in this horrible store. I will never buy an appliance here again.
