Terrible customer service!! I bought an electric start mower in 2015 with the 3 year extended warranty. In 2016 it no longer worked. I returned it for repair, 3 weeks later they told me it was not able to be fixed and I would get a new mower. I was told they didn't have one in stock to come back later. I made 2 more trips to get my replacement mower in 2016. No mower available. I was told to come back in 2017. Now they no longer carry that mower.I asked for a refund, the manager I spoke with said they are unable to refund my money. I was offered a mower of lesser value. I was given a phone number to call but it was a non-functioning number. I finally spoke to warranty center where I was transferred to 3 different people, put on hold for 15 min then disconnected! They have my money and my broken mower. I have had to pay to have my lawn mowed for 2 years. Never again will I buy from Sears! read more

First let me say I rarely give bad reviews but this place tea deserves it. Worse customer service ever. My husband bought me a necklace and pair of earrings for Christmas. The necklace chain was impossibly tangled and the earrings didn't sit right on my ears. I wanted to exchange them but because the earrings didn't have the tag on them they wouldn't let me, even though I had the receipt. The woman who was "helping" us acted like we were trying to steal from them. No wonder Sears is going out of business. Will never shop there again. read more

A ghost town, this place doesn't really ever get any business. The employees are so bored you can often find them huddled up speaking among themselves, getting that deer in headlights look whenever a customer walks in because It's such a rarity. It's a depressing place, I can't believe they have "Now Hiring." signs strung up on their building, maybe It's to give off the illusion they get more then 10 people frequenting a day. Do not buy anything from Sears. Now I know why this companies going out of business soon. Their employees must not have a high school education. Their managers must come from a circus. I have been to that store over five times to try to get help they keep telling me to call the Sears customer number for help. And Sears customer service is telling me to go back to the store and ask these people that have no clue what they're doing. I cannot believe that the employees are not trained to be able to do a job. Went to to buy washer and dryer. They carried the one we wanted but not on display. Didn't really matter because we knew what we wanted . Their sale price required you to use a sears card. I didn't want a sears card and asked what the cash price would be. I was not willing to pay more than the sears card sale price so we left. Went home and found it online for less plus free shipping and no tax. I would have bought it from sears if they would have sold it to me for the sears card sale price. I am really getting tired of the marketing ploys the major retailers use to manipulate the consumers. They need to advertise a price and sell it for that price. I tried taking a brand new craftsman circular saw which I purchased on Jan 21,2017 back to Sears in Union Gap only to find out they won't refund me the purchase price (even with a receipt) Because their return policy is 30 days period!! Today is day 36! I even called corporate office and was refused also. The lady also would not let me speak to her supervisor as that is their policy PERIOD! I got their email address as they may have picked the wrong person to mess with. This will be my last dealing with sears. Great customer service!! Pass the word! I tried to return shoes but I was 4 days too late. the manager said they have a strict return policy of 30 days that I should have reviewed online. it didn't matter that they were never worn, in box with all the tags and the receipt. the sandals were not old merchandise. the manager also said she was the only one available to talk to. It is now December 17th. We do not have a dishwasher. It has been an almost 3 month fiasco of wrong parts sent, miscommunication, no communication, hours on the phone, promises that an "expert team" had been put together to get our dishwasher installed. One was installed and it didn't work. Now we have to take that dishwasher to Yakima ourselves, pick up our new dishwasher and install it ourselves! Apparently all the installers in the area won't install for them. It has been ridiculous and stressfull. Customer service is TERRIBLE! Do not buy anything that costs over $50 from them. I purchased a socket from Sears.com Friday. I received it in the mail today Wednesday. I opened the package and to my surprise they sent me a used socket that was broken and had a 2 in crack on it. The was a basic bait and switch. I called the Sears for an hour and no one wanted to talk to me. I get home from work and check my email, and they are going to refund me the shipping! There is a reason this store is getting flushed down the toilet. So thanks to the guys at this Sears I will no longer by one thing from Sears again. So I hope your joke was worth it. read more

I will never buy Kenmore appliances from them again! We spent over $4000 bucks on appliances and I am really not happy with any of them! We bought them in December 2016. The stove we bought one of the ovens does not heat up to right temp like it says. It takes over an hour to cook French fries on 450 degrees! REALLY??? And the cook top has a spot on it where the glass is chipped on the burner and that's our fault. We did not drop anything on it for its to do that! That is what the repairman told us we dropped something on it! NOT!!! And the refrigerator does not keep anything real cold. It will only go down to 33 degrees. The dishwasher doesn't get dishes real clean either. We will NEVER buy another thing in that store! I will never step foot into another Sears or Kmart store again! On August 13, 2016 for my baby shower I received 2 safety first 3 in 1 infant car seats for my twin babies that are due shortly. They were purchased on July 5, 2016 by my 80 year old grandmother. They are way too big for my car and I have no use for them. I took them to the Yakima location to exchange for store credit for something I can use. My refund was denied. I escalated my request to customer relations. There was no one that would help me at all or offer me any alternatives. I have the receipt and the request was 9 days past your return policy cut off. There would be no harm to sears to do the right thing here. Instead I was met with hostility and no willingness to compromise on a very restrictive policy. My request was not unreasonable under the circumstances. Instead Sears would rather me have 2 seats that have no value to me and permanently lose my business as a customer. read more

Bought and installed a Garage door opener. The sensors do not work. Called Sears and after 20 min, being disconnected, calling back and going over whole thing again I was told I had to go to the store to order the part. It will be over a week before the part comes in, if it was not for all the time spent installing this I would have returned it. You would think that something that is defective and you only had for 1 day that they could overnight the part to you. Sears seems to have really gone down hill and thier service is very poor. read more

All the details of trying to get service on a newer washer and dryer from Sears would only take more time than you want to spend reading. So let me just say after being transferred between parts and service more than half a dozen times over a period of a week the service repairman still came without the part he needed. It wasn't even his first visit without the part he needed but the second. It's not their repairmans fault but the inadequacy of the service department who does the scheduling. Sorry to sound politically incorrect but in most cases I don't think they understand English very well. And they most definitely do not speak it very well. Sorry if that offends but it's just true. I'm tired of these companies who hire out their answering service department to countries outside the USA. read more
