Brooklyn has been receiving care from Dr. Brendan and Dr. Amanda since she was six weeks old! I had heard about the impact of chiropractic care on infants and was excited for this to be a regular part of Brooklyn's life. Receiving care really helped Brooklyn with her digestion as an infant. I've been adjusted by both Dr. Amanda and Dr. Brendan prior and I must say that they are both phenomenal docs. As a student, the amount of time spent glued to a screen or book is off the charts. But this comes at a cost of my neck. After being adjusted by Dr. Amanda, I feel immediate relief and am very relaxed. She's great with children and pregnant women as well. Dr. Brendan's adjustments are amazing too, he is also an incredibly nice doc. They both just seem to know everything that's going on in the body, and that extensive knowledge separates them from others. As a side note, animals can be out of alignment as well, and I know for a fact that Dr. Brendan has specialization in adjusting animals. I've been seeing Dr. B for a little over half a year now. Being an athlete all my life, my body has been banged around a lot and also being pregnant. My back was always very sore during pregnancy. I feel so much better and stronger since seeing Dr. B weekly, then bi weekly since March. The effects took a few months to really notice, but they have been profound. The only downside is sometimes you wait up to 30 minutes to be seen, which can be frustrating despite being on time for your appointment. The whole family visited Seaside Chiropractic this weekend. We were welcomed warmly and, as this was our first chiropractic session, explained the whats and hows. The intake conversation was thorough and already I felt taken care of as Amanda asked questions here and there to get a better idea of what was going on. She was amazing with our daughter and shared helpful advice to bring us all to a better health balance. She was thorough and professional while still friendly and warm. The first visit costs $220 out of pocket. This office does not work with insurance companies. You have to submit all claim paperwork yourself. The first time I submitted a claim it was rejected because they could not find the licensure information for the provider, Dr. Brendan Riordan. When I called the Seaside Chiropractic office for assistance, the office assistant asked me to ask the insurance company to call them. She was not helpful at all. The claim has been resubmitted, but it looks like my insurance company will only cover 40% of the cost since this provider is out of network. The appointment itself: Half of the first appointment was spent discussing my history, followed by brief but aggressive adjustments. I ended up with a headache shortly after that lasted the rest of the day. I also experienced excruciating hip pain that had been manageable before the visit. I think the adjustments were too aggressive and actually ended up bringing more pain than relief. read more

I started seeing Dr Amanda when I was around 33 weeks pregnant. I had searched for chiropractors in the area who were trained in Webster technique because my latest ultrasound had shown that baby was in the breech position, and Webster technique is known to help adjust the pelvis in order to allow baby the space to flip. At my 36 week ultrasound baby was head-down (yay!) but I continued to see Dr Amanda once or twice a week because the adjustments made my achy pregnant body feel much better (did I also mention I was moving into my first house at the time? Fun!). My doctors office kept suggested that I schedule a c-section because baby girl was measuring large, but I truly felt in my heart that I could deliver this baby surgery-free - I at least wanted to give it a shot. The day before my due date, my water broke at 9 a.m., I was almost fully dilated upon arriving at the hospital around noon, and my girl (all 9 lbs 5 oz of her!) was in my arms at 4:10 p.m. My total pushing time was maybe 15 minutes. I truly believe that I was able to deliver my first baby, who was on the larger size, with such a quick labor and super-quick pushing time, due largely in part to my body being regularly adjusted over the last two months of my pregnancy. I think my pelvis was aligned and open and it facilitated an easy labor and delivery for me (as easy as labor and delivery can be!) and I am so grateful to Seaside Chiropractic for that. read more

I've literally have had the best experience at Seaside Chiro! I went in at my rock bottom with back pain. I work long hours on my feet with hard use on my body.
