As an out-of-stater, I always hope that a florist or other business delivers a quality product when I order over the phone or internet. Seaside did a lovely job, both in terms of the beautiful arrangement that they produced for my sister, and in excellent customer service. They notified me when the flowers had been delivered and told me where they'd put them (out of the sun so they'd still look fresh when my sister arrived home), and Sherry (sp?) called me today to make sure that all had gone well and that my sister was happy with the order. My sister sent me a photo of the arrangement, and it is absolutely beautiful! I will definitely order from Seaside again, and recommend them heartily! read more

I called from Boston, Ma. to order Mother's Day flowers for my niece who lives in Oceanside. The flowers were delivered today and my niece absolutely loved them. Over the phone, I spoke with a very nice and very friendly member of Seaside and described my niece's taste to her and gave her a price point that I wanted to spend. I asked her to design something using her discretion as to flower choices and vase choice. The flowers she chose were perfect! Without me specifically choosing any flower, based on my description of my niece, she chose to include lilacs-which just happens to be my niece's favorite flower. Searching on the internet for any business can be a gamble-there are no guarantees as to what you'll get-especially with a long distance purchase. I'm so glad I found Seaside. Great prices, and even if you're only buying a few random flowers, the staff will package them and add complimentary greens to look like a cute bouquet. I went in today to get a custom arrangement made, and I was assisted by Sierra. She is a new employee, so she did not know much about arranging the flowers (something she mentioned to me before I started choosing flowers). Nevertheless, she was able to steer me in the direction of some very interesting blooms. She was pretty knowledgeable about the flowers themselves, and she gave me some very useful information about bringing lilies into a household with a cat (apparently only the pollen is poisonous to cats, not the entire flower!). She also made sure to show me what I every flower I chose would look like when it opened fully and spent a lot of time talking about flowers that weren't even in my arrangement. Overall, I had a very fun & educational experience at Seaside Flowers, and Sierra even tossed in a rose for free because this was the first arrangement she had assisted with. Went in for some Mother's Day flowers. Was half awake when I went and still a bit groggy when I got there. They were calling numbers due to how busy they were which is understandable. What wasn't fine was that I was scolded for missing my number when it was called even after I apologized. I was caught off guard and the girl was pretty loud about it so I was a bit embarrassed. Definitely didn't want her to help me picking out flowers. And luckily she left me alone for another girl to help. That girl was super nice and patient with my grogginess. I've ordered from Seaside for many, many years for my family in Oceanside/Carlsbad area. Every single time, gorgeous. Do yourself a favor, call them, describe what you want, (tall, wide, colorful, cheerful, somber, give them an adjective) and they will create a stunning arrangement. Our family had a bad year one year, and I sent an arrangement for a few hundred dollars that i wanted "TALL and COLORFUL" with a unique vase. The arrangement came in a beautiful tall, cobalt blue glass vase and was almost as tall as my 4'11" mom, an explosion of color. She was blown away. AND the flowers lasted two full weeks before we dried them out. :-) Love this place. read more

My wife and I were enjoying a little getaway along with her birthday and I contacted Seaside Flowers for some roses and baby's breadth to be delivered at a certain time on her BD morning. I was totally amazed that the flowers arrived exactly on time (outside their normal delivery time range), and that the flowers were OMG - fantastic!!!!! I called on Tues. 5/5 for flowers for my brother in laws viewing and funeral for 5/7, 5/8. I spoke with Sherry (the owner) who was very busy with Mother's Day arrangements. (I didn't even realize Mother's Day was coming up) She didn't turn me away, suggested I come in, take a look and talk about what I wanted. I immediately loved the look of the shop, the flowers were all so beautiful and fresh. I sat and looked in a book, picked what I wanted, discussed with Sherry. She assured me they could be delivered to the mortuary on time, she was honest and couldn't promise which exact color or flowers but I didn't mind as I trusted her judgement. I chose this florist because of the reviews on her website. I'm so glad I did! This will be my go to florist from now on. I much preferred this environment over a chain florist. This place is exceptional! I bought flowers for my girlfriend a month ago on Valentines day and she loved them. I honestly had no idea what flowers to get or what my girlfriend would like. The florist here at Seaside helped me out tremendously. Wouldn't think that I would ever need to or want to write a Yelp about a flower shop. You go in, you point to some pretty things, they wrap them up and you empty your wallet onto the counter. But this place surprised me. Found out some great news and needed some roses for my wife while I was running errands, so I asked Siri where a florist was in my area. She pointed me here. The shop is around the corner and the owner was very relieved that I wasn't scared off by Siri's (and most GPS's) slightly off address. The shop is on Artist's way, one block BEHIND Coast Hwy where I was sent, but the signs were clear enough for me to find it. Got an extra rose too, I guess just for coming in. The owner was very very nice, as was her assistant, and I learned that they had recently had to move locations, causing them to lose some loyal long-term customers. She also advised me on how to buckle the roses into my car seat, which actually was great advice. (I was going to throw them in the truck and hope for the best). Will make sure I come back here on purpose in the future! read more
