TL;DR = best flower shop EVER. They have permanently secured all of my flower business in North county... And you know what? Maybe even all my San Diego county flower needs. I'll be more than willing drive an hour just to get the best flowers possible. The things we do to show Love For the full experience, please get comfortable and lend me your proverbial ear (or literally both of your eyes, unless you only have one, then one eye is more than sufficient) Mind = blown. Hands down the best florist I've ever been to! Right away from the phone call, the lady that answered the phone was ridiculously friendly and helpful. She even made sure I knew exactly how to get to the place through a back route too get around the closed street (Farmers market). I park and approach the place, they're playing good music and have all kinds of cool art and other things outside the door. I slowly wander in as I'm looking over all the things displayed, Delanie(spelling?) Immediately have me a warm greeting and asked if she could help. I don't know anything about stabbing flowers. Delanie walked me through the process of hand selecting each flower by telling me the basic configuration. I started out by choosing this insanely gorgeous purple/blue/white orchid (never seen one so pretty) and she would say things like, usually you pick something tall, pick one of this group to fill it out, etc etc. Now to the arranging. This whole process was a constantly evolving thing, I thought I was going to simply choose a premade arrangement and walk out, I was on a tight schedule. But, I quickly realized that wasn't good enough and that my Baby deserves the best possible creation from this place selected with the utmost thought and careful consideration. Delanie asked if the flowers would be put in water within ten minutes and if not she could do a wet wrap that would be good for an hour. I've never been asked that before! Awesome. But now I was gazing access all of these unique and different colored vases high up on a shelf on the wall behind her... One in particular captures my interest, this deep Sapphire blue glass vase that looks like it would go perfectly with the arrangements color scheme. I inquire about the vase and the slightly older lady (I can't remember her name but she's a super sweet lady, you know when your best friend's mom becomes like a second mom to you? She's like that kind of person) answers my question but goes on to explain that some vases are truly that color but some are painted and end up chipping off. Very nice of her to teach me about these things and ensure I get the best quality. Delanie quickly grabbed a ladder and retrieved the vase I selected. Now Flower Mom takes over to arrange my selection in the vase, she recommends a pink ribbon tied onto the vase. I trust her judgment and willingly agree, she is the expert after all. At the checkout counter mentioned I felt like I just want done yet.. Delanie started mentioning other possibilities to help me out. There are these hand created butterfly things on a thin wire and a weird swirly glitter stick things next to the register. I selected one of each. You should definitely add a butterfly to your arrangement There are lots of really neat greeting cards made by local artists, I selected one of those. They even have a cute little desk and chair right next to the register with pens so you can sit and write in your card!!!!!!!! Who does that!?? Rhetorical question. Only the best Floral Shop that has ever existed. Period. If you've gotten this far in my review, I must tell you please tip generously! They are master expert floral arrangement craftswomen and this place had better flourish and prosper until the end of time! Flower Mom even put the vase into this short box to keep it from topping over in the car. They really thought of everything. I inquired about caring for the arrangement to which Delanie kindly answered. Change the water every day and trim a small bit off the bottoms every two days to achieve maximum arrangement longevity. I never heard of that before! I love learning new things. I could not be more pleased with my experience with this business. I found this florist by researching florists within a 5-10 mile radius of my home and Seaside Flowers, a 5 Star rated florist, had exponentially more reviews than any other. WOW. First, the staff asks you to use the hand sanitizer (available right outside the front door) before you even enter. The entire staff wears masks and shields, and makes sure all customers wear masks. Second, the owner spent time with me to make sure I fully understood my best options. She definitely knows her roses! And she made sure the roses I chose would be nearly in full bloom the day of the event. Third, the gal who actually made the arrangement (I provided the vase) did a SPECTACULAR job! I can't thank Sherry and her staff enough for the beautiful display that they did on board the Sea Star boat in Oside Harbor for our Dad's burial at sea. They came recommended from Capt'n Joe, who we absolutely loved, and we were not disappointed. You order whatever type of flowers you would like and for a mere $25 extra, they will take them to the boat about 30 minutes before you board and arrange them. I have posted some pics here. They also provide a few more baskets of rose and other flower petals so there are more than enough for everyone to have to toss into the water once the ashes have been released. I was scrambling around last minute to send my best friend flowers the night before her birthday. Seaside was perfect for a last minute order/next day delivery and they were so incredibly friendly over the phone! They made everything as simple as possible and go off of a minimum pay scale of $25 for deliveries. There is a delivery fee of about $15-$17 per order. I had my order delivered to Vista, which came out to be about $45. From what I saw there is no pricing information on their website, everything has to be done over the phone. They accommodate your price range and will send you a text of the order they assemble before delivering. Great customer service! Received a beautiful Valentine's Day arrangement from my granddaughter who lives out of state & am exceptionally pleased with it! Unusual flowers (protea), beautiful design (not just a dome of flowers), and fun accessorites (butterfly and seashell).
