We have been in the area TWENTY YEARS and only stopped at this place recently! (This review is for…read morethe cafe at Dock Outfitters, by the way.) What a cute little luncheonette! We stopped by this cafe for breakfast after church on Sunday, and it did not disappoint. First thing you should know - the cafe is located upstairs from the bait and tackle shop. On the first level, there is a little counter with about four seats that you can use to eat (as well as picnic tables outside), but upstairs they have a little seating area with spectacular views of the bay. There are only about nine tables, so the place is not very big. We waited a few minutes for a table to be cleared off, which we didn't mind. They serve breakfast all day and the menu is quite solid, especially for being a little roadside eatery that's attached to a dock. It was also pleasantly surprising to see that they had specials for the day, too! The food was hot, tasty, and reasonably priced. All of the staff were super friendly, too! Not to mention...we were able to enjoy brunch overlooking the gorgeous Barnegat Bay. What more can you ask for? We'll definitely be returning here for more!

Their building sits prominently on Route 35 South. Open all year round, the cafe offers breakfast and lunch and leashed and friendly dogs are allowed at the downstairs counter, the 2nd floor dining room with a stunning view of the Barnegat Bay (with manager's discretion), and the outdoor picnic tables. The menu has classic American favorites like omelets, french toast, burgers, sandwiches, and so much more! The staff is so friendly and Kayla gave Brie so much attention. Also check out the shop for any fishing needs. Thanks to our follower, Lori F., for sharing this spot on her Seaside Heights and Seaside Park Boardwalk Facebook page. My main concern was that there was a restricted area to ride. We thought it would be small and we would get bored, but that was not the case. The riding area was large with plenty of room to open them up. We would definitely go again.

We found this kayak/jet ski rental place on www.funnewjersey.com. A double kayak is $35 for 2 hours ($37.45 with tax) and jet skis are $70 for 1/2 hour ($100 for 45 minutes). You can save an additional $5 if you print and bring this coupon: http://www.route72waverunner.com/specials It takes about 2 hours to go around Cedar Bonnet lsland in Barnegat Bay. You pass by wet lands and under the Route 72 Causeway (bridge) twice. Be sure to put sunscreen on and beware of the jet skiers and boats (although the jet skis are going faster, the boats create a bigger wake). Your GPS will tell you that you have arrived at Causeway Boat Rentals, but keep driving until you get to the end of the road to find Route 72 Waverunner & Kayak. Be sure to check out Mud City (make a right at the light and right at the stop sign) for a late seafood lunch / early dinner.

Like previous visits, the staff was great. Easy check in. Easy instructions on how to use the ski. Clean and sanitary life vests. Clean and sanitary port o potties. Decent ski's (fast and reliable) A couple negatives - They really did crack down a lot on just how far you can go on the ski's. They also added a lot more staff out there with you (That's good from a safety stand point but they keep you contained to a specific area and enforce rules haha) Previous visits we were able to ride from bridge to bridge ... It felt alot more open and free. This time around it was 1/4 the riding area and basically a large circle. Bummer, but what can ya do ? Safety is in these days. Btw my review from 5 years ago mentions the price as $85 for an hour with a passenger... this year was $118 ! Paying a lot more for a lesser experience. (inflations a bitch) Negatives aside, I still really enjoyed the experience and I look forward to stopping here again soon. It was a great time.
