Seattle Sun Tan has been great so far! Definitely not insanely cheap, I'm paying about $275 for 20 of their "bronzer" bed. It's a $200 package that gets me a certain amount of whatever I choose (I'm doing the bronzer bed) and I get an even "cheaper" rate of the bronzer bed each time by being a member, which is $6 for the first month and $35 each additional month. Hence the $275 total. It's definitely a little pricey but I have very fair skin and only burn when I try to tan outside, so I wanted a natural looking tan to build leading up to my wedding and thus far I've been extremely happy with just the first few times of results. For the bronzer bed you go in it for up to 12 minutes. There are buttons to adjust fans to keep you extremely comfortable as well as music!! A really enjoyable experience. They also offer all the lotions and things you could possibly need to help maximize your tanning experience. (But again, can be a little pricey but it's because they are quality products). They obviously have other tanning services, this is just the one I can speak personally to. read more

With the lack of sunshine that we get in Washington state finding a good place to build a base tan is important. I've been to several places over the years and this is my best experience ever. What sets them apart? Several things. The location with ample parking is great. The salon is always clean. The lobby and every tanning room has been very well cleaned. Yes they do sell tanning lotion and can make recommendations about what's going to work best with your skin type. It's up to you ultimately where you buy it. One of the key differentiators for this location is the girls that work here. They work hard and are friendly to everyone. They are great about answering questions and have recommended things that have worked for me. Great experience every time and I highly recommend Seattle Sun Tan. read more

My husband and I came into this location in late January to tan up for a trip to the Caribbean in February. The girl at the desk, who admitted she was new and was working her first day alone, sold us a tanning packages. The package included 50% off tans if we joined as members. So, we did. Each package was supposed to be around $100 or $120, plus $5.99/mo thereafter and maintenance tans would be free. Well....I just checked our bank statements and each of us have been charged over $41/mo for the past consecutive 4 months. When calling today to follow up with Elizabeth, she said this is how it was supposed to be. But, this is NOT what we were told. We felt mislead and will NEVER frequent Seattle Sun Tan again! I just had to say I've been coming here a long time and I've had a lot of problems with the membership issue and I've had problems with pricing on lotion because it's pretty ridiculous!!! I mean come on! They push a lotion thats 145$ at 40% of lol r u kidding me!!!!!!! However....I will say this location has the best girls working here I'm just saying flat out they're awesome! I come in here and I have a lot of questions ....I have a skin problem that makes tanning almost necessary for me to be comfortable in my own skin! These ladies never make me feel bad about myself and they give me really good advice. I hope the boss of this particular store looks at yelp reviews I may not know their names by heart but I'm gonna say it's 8:38 PM on March 1 when I came there were two girls working the front desk and both of them were awesome! I been tanning with Seattle Sun Tan for a long time. I get memberships usually when I have something coming up but cancel after a few months and then just by tan with packages. I canceled but this store must not have done it. Now they are saying I owe 109 dollars for the membership which I canceled. Now they say I can't even use the 200 dollars worth of package I already paid for. The girls at the place say they remember me canceling but customer service doesn't seem to care. Contacting better business bureau now. read more

Gotta love the Versa Pro Spray Tan and maybe a few minutes in a low ray bed to kick the grey weather blues! The staff is sooooooo friendly and helpful! I love the girls and their friendly, helpful, attitudes; especially for someone who is not a tanning pro. They also have state of the art beds for anything, like the "cocoon" for health and mental wellness!!!! Worth the cost! read more

The Covington location is closer to my gym and to work, but I will always go to the Maple Valley location instead. The girls at the Maple Valley salon have always been so genuinely nice, knowledgeable and accommodating and the beds are always extremely clean and well maintained. I normally don't write reviews unless I'm extremely happy or extremely unhappy and it's easy to say I've been more than happy with all of my experiences here. So I don't go tanning but I went into Seattle sun tan with a lot of questions about tanning based on my skin and tanning goals etc. This review isn't based on the tanning services because I haven't bought a package yet but it's based on the customer service. The girl working was SO kind and made me feel comfortable with all my questions. She didn't rush me and was really polite. She seemed knowledgeable about the products and honest about what would work best for my skin. She also wasn't trying to upsale me too much. If I decide to go tanning, I would go here. read more

The three stars are for the customer service, the girls really are super friendly. The spray tans at this location are awful though. I get a level 4 bronze, and it's always without fail so blotchy. I don't have this problem at any other location. The membership is great and convenient, and the location is wonderful. I have had to go home, shower off the spray tan, exfoliate, and go to a different salon twice because their versa tan was so blotchy. I've talked to other locations and they said it's probably because the machine isn't cleaned regularly. I haven't tanned in a bed here so I can't rate that. I'll give them a month and try again because driving to Renton or Bonney lake for a level 4 isn't as convenient. read more

I cancelled my account on April 1st and today, on April 15th, I noticed that they were charging my bank account for another month. When I called and spoke to Mikaela she told me that I didn't give 15 days notice and that it was their policy to charge for another entire month after that. When I asked why nobody explained that to me when I was in there she just said that she wasn't in the salon that day and couldn't comment. What a bunch of thieves! There are too many tanning salons around Maple Valley to rip off your customers like that. read more

This used to be my go-to tanning salon when I lived in Maple Valley. Now I live in Seattle, but whenever I'm in the area I stop in to tan. This is a great salon. The girls are always really friendly & the beds are always clean & top notch. I've been to other salons with shoddy beds & this place maintains theirs so well. It's a smaller location but I hardly ever have to wait for a bed, unless they're running a special. It gets pretty busy at nighttime though. Their packages are decently priced & they're cheaper if you're a member ($25 a month). The lotions are SUPER expensive but that goes for any tanning salon. They used to offer free bottles of water but they don't anymore. They do however have a little water station where you can fill up a small cup. All in all, a prime place to get your tan on. My bracelet clasp broke and my diamond bracelet fell off my wrist at the Seattle Sun in Maple Valley. One of the girls working on April 29th found my bracelet. I'm so lucky to have found it. I stopped in on Monday to see how many chance I had left because I am going to Vegas next Tuesday and need to get a tan. The girls at the counter kept trying to sell me packages and I said no repeatedly I just want to finish out what I already have on my account. One of the girls then said in a snotty voice I only had a level two for 20 minutes left and I could go to room four. After I finished my tan I told the girls that some lights were out in the bed and they said they would place a ticket and I left. When I got home about an hour later I started to turn lobster red and I immediately got sun sick and nauseous the rest of the night. Not only did I fry, I was sun sick and nauseous for a day and a half and blistered on the inside of my thighs. I was unable to wear pants for two days or take a shower or sleep the entire night without crying. Because there were lights out in the bed I now have white racing stripes down my backside and my butt. This ruined my chance to get a tan before Vegas!!! I am extremely unhappy and have been miserable for days, I have been warning all of my employees and coworkers and friends not to ever go there!!! Anyone who is thinking of going there....be warned!!! read more

There are beds with bulbs that haven't worked for over 3 months. The staff has been notified every time and never has anything been done. We were told they are on a timer. I love coming here the staff is great! The membership $29.00 and the cost of the premium beds we pay extra for should easily cover the cost of the bulbs. read more
