Went in for a spray tan, the place is immaculate, the staff is friendly and makes things so comfortable. But best of all they do a gorgeous job- wow!! Their tanning spray looks so natural compared to other places I've tried (or know those who do) and the difference between having someone who really knows their stuff is amazing. They adjust for what you want, and the color is beautiful- no orange here. It's dry when they finish so no mess. Stop thinking about it- treat yourself to a spray tan, you'll look great. It's very difficult to find an aesthetician who can perform waxing properly - at least that's been my experience. I don't have super high expectations, but I DO expect to NOT have to go home and finish the job for you. That happened here. I shouldn't have to pluck hairs from my eyebrows & lip immediately following my appointment. I tried this place three times, w/different techs, and this occurred all three times. During one of my appointments they took WAY too much off one side which was shocking.....and embarrassing. That was my *last* appointment with them. **NOTE: I have reviewed the businesses response to my post and it's incorrect. My skin does redden easily (I'm a redhead) but it doesn't exempt it from hair removal. Plus - if skin sensitivity was an issue, wouldn't / shouldn't their tech have said something to me since they're sending me home w/hairs still visible? Wouldn't my facialist have said something by now (she hasn't). I've been seeing her every two weeks for 10 years. And I've had my brows waxed for 30+ years. I am going to treat this review like you guys are my friends and start by saying... You guy's MY lash girl aka Erica Hjelmaa is the absolute BEST! No joke. If you want to have a true lash experience go to her. If you need to switch your lash spot (and some of you do! Just saying I see those things on your eyes!) go to her! Erica is an absolutely amazing lash artist! Her quality of lashes are incredible and last much longer than any other last salon I've been too! She's an amazing person alone very easy and fun to talk too since lashes do take forever. She makes sure your comfortable and puts your needs first. Not to mention the salon is adorable and very clean! During the pandemic I've been worried about going to certain places but this Salon is not one of those I've felt safe there. I have been going to Lux Beauty Lounge for over a year. Erica was recommended to me by a friend and I first started going for airbrush tanning services. It's such a great environment. You walk in and it's beautiful. One of the reasons I enjoy it so much is it completely lacks the snobbery of some lash and high end salons, but, it still feels high end. Erica has the best approach, she's beautiful and really easy going. She also carries great products. I've been hesitant to jump in on full lashes because maintenance is tough for me, but, Erica introduced me to the lash lift - worth it's weight in gold! She is a magician with this stuff! She also does my crazy bushy eyebrows. So over the last year and a half, I gradually increased my beauty regimen at LBL. Now she has a massage therapist on staff?!?! I'll review her soon - can't wait to have that appointment. Anyway, I've been spray tanning for 15 years. Doing it with Erica has always been the best, at least it was until yesterday. Yesterday, I had my first session with Ashley, who Erica recently hired. And without a doubt, it was the most fabulous tanning experience of my life. Don't get me wrong, Erica is excellent - but, how smart is she to go out and find like the one person in Washington that might be better than her??? Genius. Today, I have my best tan ever. Sounds so cheesy, but, spray tanning has always been one of my favorite beauty tricks. I don't tan well in the sun, but, it makes a huge difference in how I look and more importantly, I just feel better with color. They use Norvell products - the best in the business, never an orangey thing - always natural and many choices for depth. Ashley is professionally trained, by Norvell themselves, and clearly knows her business. I felt so comfortable, she listened intently, gave me some great ways to extend my tan and keep my skin moisturized, and lastly how to fix spots I always seem to exfoliate too much. She did a great job advising me on a simple product that is more appropriate for my skin type without seeming too sales-y. All the things you want in an esthetician and tanning superstar! I have been seeing Erica since 2005 for spray tanning and I have never gotten a better tan anywhere. If Erica is booked and I need a tan in a pinch, I'll use the Versa sunless tan, but it's nothing compared to a technician-applied tan. I have been spray tanning specifically to have even-toned skin, as I have an auto-immune disorder that comes with poor circulation, anemia, and spider veins. This causes pale/purple splotchy skin and lots of bruises, mostly in my legs. I hate having discolored legs, while the rest of my body is a different color. Erica makes you feel super comfortable, she always checks with you before mixing solution on the type of color you want to achieve, and makes sure you check yourself before she's finished in case you want her to touch up some spots. I know one review SAYS they've been spray tanning for years, but if that were true, then you would know not to shower until 24 hours after your tan. If your tan is messed up because of that, that is your fault, not Erica's. I explained my issues to Erica about my disease and how it's affected my skin, and she had a great suggestion to use two different shades of Venetian so I get an even look. She even asked about this specific issue the last time she got certified by Norvell. This kind of effort and attention shows how much Erica cares about her clients and her business. It's been a pleasure seeing Erica grow in her field and build her business all on her own. She truly thrives in this field, and you can tell from how often she stays up-to-date and is continuing her education and certs. This also means that I can trust her expertise. And, Erica always looks great. You know you can trust someone who also has a good tan and set of lashes herself! Not only do I get great service from Erica every time, I also feel good knowing that I am supporting a local businesswoman. Erica is amazing! She does a fantastic job on my volume lashes! They never curl, twist or turn... they look great right up to the day I go and get a fill. It is so relaxing and she is so enjoyable to visit with. I've been so happy with my lashes! I have also had her wax my brows and it is so nice to have thick arched brows instead of thin brows after a wax. And she did a spray tan for me before a wedding that turned out so great. Erica, the owner, appears friendly, but it is clear that she is not customer service oriented or well versed in spray tanning, despite her taking a course through Norvell and claiming to be a "master technician." I made an appointment with her bc my regular gal was out of town and bc she carried Norvell Venetian Plus. I was looking for similar results as my regular tan as I typically use this solution and I specifically asked for a double coat since I don't leave it on for 24 hours and it was for a special occasion. Her method and knowledge of how to apply solution was amateur level at best and it was clearly unsuccessful, as I ended up with one of the worst tans of my life. The next day after my tan, I had a white stripe on the inside of one arm bc she missed that area and upon letting her know and sending her a photo, she did not apologize or offer to fix it. Instead, she acted as though I was inconveniencing her by asking her to fix the mistake she made. She even tried to make me feel guilty by commenting that she had to have her husband watch her twins in order to meet me. When I arrived to her studio, she still did not apologize or take any accountability for her mistake. It was almost as if she was a disgruntled employee who had to come in on her day off...not like a business owner trying to make things right. I was shocked that after I paid her full price plus a 20% tip so approx $54, that I would be treated this way after her own mess-up. I have been spray tanning for a very long time and I've tried many solutions and for many different occasions. She has a very good product to work with, but unfortunately no matter how good a product is, you need to know how to use it right. And, for a small business to have such poor customer service just tells me you're trying to make a quick buck. If you are looking for the perfect tan, you would be taking your chances here. Maybe her lash skills are better but regardless she will probably get mad at you if she ever messes up. read more

As a lash addict, I have been to many lash providers! :) I found Erica because I was looking for a place close to my house that had online booking. I reserved a removal and full set and it took about two hours. Erica took one look at the overgrown, floppy lashes that I walked in with and suggested a lighter, shorter D curl. I was all for trying something new, especially when the advice came from a professional. Erica took before and after photos that I have shared. I love my lashes! My first set lasted close to 3 weeks and I have been going back for weekly 25 minute cleanup fills (I do hot yoga and sleep on my face-without me knowing, ha!). I've been going to Erica since 2013 for my lashes and will never go anywhere else. She does a very thorough job and I get many compliments on my lashes by strangers. I've gotten spray tanned by her once for a trip to Hawaii and I looked like a bronzed beach babe before setting foot in Hawaii. She's very friendly which makes her super easy to chat with. I have sent a bunch of my friends, family, and strangers to her and not a single complaint. The only real complaint was from my mom when she could no longer get lashes since she was allergic to the adhesive. All around great place, her beauty lounge is very well done and all the products are the best of the best and she is very knowledgeable about them all. She sold me an eyelash cleaner which removed a little bump I had on my eyelid within two days of using it.
