They had a great selection. However, the particular one we chose was not at this location in the size and fit. Austin, with the help of his manager, found it in Michigan and made it possible for us to pick it up there. I was so thankful because it was a great value on the skates. It was also such a treat to have Austin Burns truly care about his client and achieving the best possible pair of ice skates.

We are constantly threatened by a series of potential disasters, both natural and man-made. For someone new to being a Survivalist building your first Bug Out Bag can seem like a big task. Everybody you read about has been tweaking theirs for months or even years and has a pile of gear built up. The military load bearing system is set up in a 3 day (web gear), 5-7 day (rucksack), and a 14 day (duffle bag/footlocker). It's hard to know where to start, but if you cover all of the basics in a survival situation you will still be much better off than 99% of the people. A Bug Out Bag, (also called a BOB, Get Out of Dodge Bag, GOOD, or 72 Hour Bag) is usually designed to get you out of an emergency situation and allow you to survive self-contained for up to 3 days. A lot of people plan their Bug Out Bag to sustain them for much longer than that, but there is always a limit to what you can carry on your back and a 3 day target is a good place to start. I brought the shirts home and washed them - One button fell off. Brought shirt back to store with receipt to exchange. They told me that they would send it back as a warranty complaint and it would cost ME an additional $10! Acted like they were doing me a favor. First time I have ever had this happen that a store does not stand behind what they sell. I decided to take the shirt, find thread that matched and sew the button on myself. If so, than I suggest easing your mind by stocking up at Gear Up, a new camping and emergency outfitters specialty store in Florence. Gear Up sells standard camping supplies (sleeping bags, backpacks, portable stoves, lanterns), survival gear (knives, rappelling gear), and emergency supplies (food rations, water purification). All of the goods I browsed look very high-quality (and pretty expensive), so they are marketed more to the serious backcountry campers than the RV and state park campers. Gear Up also sells a number of survivalist books, many of which are about self-defense. After skimming through a few volumes, I realized the target audience is a bit paranoid and a bit practical--folks who want to know how to kill someone with their bare hands (theoretically, I hope).
