Sea Witch Images have been in the same location for many years and with the emergence of nearby cafes and shops, it has become more prominant and discovered. But those in the know come here to aquire photos from their families' past, such as the ship their grandparents arrived on, the house they were born in (if of any historical significance) basically anything held by the National Trust, SA Maritime Museum and any other historical society in South Australia.
The front steps leading into the store are as weathered as the passing of ages, if only they and the walls could speak, I'm sure plently a story can be told. Inside is sepia world, no colour but historical data as an image, I even saw a photo of my local railway station back in the 1800's! Framed and loose prints but can be framed if you wish, plastic containers full of categorised prints the majority of which have been taken from plate glass negatives, over 100,000 of them have been taken over time.
The prints have been made into cards also, a collection of loose picture frames sit under the trestle tables and memorabilia scattered round for sale all original and dusty. When down at the Port next make sure to pay a visit. read more
