On occasions there are ornamental decorations for sale and under the glass front counter are the jewels and the staff are friendly enough to answer any queries. Parking can be found round the back or there is on street parking directly out the front if you're lucky but watch out for traffic during peak periods.

Those who live in the home can come in and take anything they want - it truly is touching to see the kids come in eagerly looking for new toys that have arrived. Unfortunately the store is only open on Mondays from 9-12 but the staff are lovely and very helpful when you're looking for something specific. When partaking in love performance, this is the first place I come to for costume ideas.

I am so glad it was parked out front otherwise I would have sent on not knowing about it. This Salvos is not massive, but it is very well stocked and must be known well by the locals. They had a heap of donations waiting to be sorted out front. That is always a good sign, it means their stock changes regularly. Fresh stock means good finds! Inside the store is well organised, shelves of glass ware, crockery and pottery is around the back of the store. Items seem to be matched in types, which is nice if you are looking for something in particular. There are so many shoes in this store! Racks and racks of them. Really nice designer ones too! There are a lot of clothing with tags still on and in good quality. That is a rare thing as well. I think that it must be the area, the locals are more of upper middle class to richer families. The staff there are so lovely too. I was looking for a butter dish and the lady went out of her way to try and help me find one. We did not have any luck, but she offered to pop my name on a list in case one came in! That never happens at a thrift store. What amazing service! Be sure to stop at this store thrifties! This is quite a large Salvation Army run thrift shop in a back street off the Unley road main drag…read more There's a whole lot of junky stuff, with the occassional gem in the rough. One of the main advatages of this store is that it continues to be priced incredibly cheaply. When I was there yesterday, all clothes were $1 and all soft toys (of which there was a huge selection) were just 50c... there were even a couple of gorgeous hand knitted ones which were no doubt worth quite a bit more! Even without this unbelievable sale, the prices seem to remain much smaller than is commonly found these days. There is a reasonable selection of books and homewares and tonnes of clothes and shoes, although some of it is quite worse for wear. Well worth your time if you like a rummage - but not worth your while if you need it to be a little easier.

To stand out from the rest I wished they would do something to enhance the facade inside or out! To be able to afford a shop is not cheap on the rental aspect plus staff are usually volunteers, so me thinks the organisation will have some dosh to spare and do it up. Short of sitting out the front in my car tallying up the number of visitors they have daily, I needn't bother as I can tell it's not going to have door busting episodes. Inside is not exciting either with the usual suspect items available, toys, shoes, bags, clothes, jewellery, etc. But depending on the day you never know what might be lurking underneath the rubble. At least some shelving will get the pile of shoes off the floor! I really do admire the people that volunteer their time to be present and run the shop but there needs to be some enticement to attract a younger, keener and more energetic people for an injection of styling. If you haven't known of this one, here it is to add to the list of op shops to visit and there's parking round the back via the side street.

As stock rotates often and is always different depending on donations they have received. For example when I went there they had a proper Cabra School backpack for sale for only $10! Great if you have a kid that goes to that school but unlikely up here, maybe they should put it online for sale. It's a bargain and like brand new. But like I said, worth checking in here on a regular basis just to see what they have. They always have heaps of dolphins and beach themed window dressings which brighten things up and look great being that you can see the beach from the roadside out the front.

Always a great selection of stuff, tidy and well presented. However I was there recently and the assistant was leaning on the counter talking on her mobile. I had a dress that I really wanted to buy but judging by the conversation she was having, she wasn't going to cut short any time soon so I left the dress there. I hadn't seen her in there before.

I am no white goods and furniture expert, but given that they also stock second-hand goods here, you are likely to come across a bargain if you keep your wits about you. They do quotes over the phone and delivery seven days a week, with considerably less rigamarole than you'll get when dealing with a bigger chain store. They also offer services and repairs, and interest free layby. WOO!

Close encounters of the amusing kind. We wandered into this op shop today because we were driving…read morepast and it had a cool name. When we walked in we were instantly confused: there was a table of ten ladies enjoying a sit down lunch in the middle of the store. We tried to back away but a lovely lady shooed us toward the clothing racks before sitting back down to eat. We browsed the shelves and edged around the diners and tried to ignore the awkwardness. The clothes were genuine op shop rather than vintage, mostly everyday brands but there were a couple of cute items and everything was in very good condition. In the room next door there was children's clothes and loads of the usual brick a brack. As we went to leave a small child blocked the front door, screaming 'No I don't want you to leave, I want you to play with me!' As her mother dragged her off and distracted her with barbie roller skates the girl muttered 'You're not allowed to leave Adelaide.' Probably wouldn't go out there again just for the clothes but we'd never go if we got invited to lunch.
