I have had my hair shaved/cut by three of the remaining barbers many times (I come in every 4 weeks) & Georgette, Nae and Quelah have all been excellent to work with. Quelah has been my more recent regular since they work Saturday mornings and they have been so helpful with a bald patch I am dealing with and does a great job with my husband's hair as well. Also appreciate that all three of the above mentioned are experienced with curls which is a rarity!

The posted price chart clearly showed $20 for a haircut and $25 for a special haircut. I was not told before the haircut that I would be charged the higher price. Only after she had already finished did she announce that I owed $25 because my hair was long. Charging a customer more after the service is completed, without clearly explaining and agreeing to the price beforehand, feels dishonest and incredibly unprofessional. The haircut itself was just as frustrating. I clearly explained that I wanted the sides buzzed skintight, the top trimmed, and the hair properly blended near the top. Instead of listening to the customer paying her, she argued that it was too short and initially refused to cut it the way I requested. I had to tell her again to shorten it, and she still only trimmed off a little more rather than giving me what I had clearly asked for. To make matters worse, she spent much of the appointment chatting with her friends instead of concentrating on my haircut. I felt like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Her attention was divided, my instructions were dismissed, and the final result was not what I requested. This shop failed at the most basic parts of running a professional business: clearly stating the price, listening to the customer, paying attention during the service, and delivering the haircut that was requested. I left feeling ignored, overcharged, disrespected, and completely dissatisfied. This was not a minor misunderstanding. It was a terrible customer-service experience from beginning to end. I regret walking through the door, and Sun's Barber Shop will never receive another dollar from me.

This is my go 2, favorite barber shop. I drive from Federal way to this place because it's worth…read morethe drive. Tony is the barber there, and I believe his wife does the Mani pedi services. I've been coming here for about 5 years and by far the best customer service and hair cut I've received. For the price of what he charges, he also gives this amazing shampoo/head massage towards the end of his cut. He uses this minty eucalyptus and rubs a little but on your face, so once he finishes you get up feeling so awake and refreshed. The place is built in his garage so it is apart of his home but it does not seem like it would be a garage space when you go into this place. He has some good tunes and a wonderful ambiance while your waiting or getting your haircut. Walk-ins are usually welcome but since it is just him, I'd suggest calling in and setting an appointment with him, so you don't have to sit and wait.
