I opened the driver's door and a big dent and scratch inside the door frame. I pointed that out to the manager. His response was that they would never make that mistake and it was me that damaged the truck by slamming my seat belt buckle in the door. I 100% know it was not there when I dropped off the door. They will not take responsibility. I would never use them again. Their reputation for being a premier service is incorrect. By the way I showed them the seat belt buckle, it looked brand new with no scratch or scuff any where. Stay away!!!

I have an extended warranty on my car that only allows me to go to a dealer for repairs, but given their extensive experience with VW/Audi, my warranty company was willing to let Pro-Tech do the work rather than drive 1-2 hours to a dealer. Prices are reasonable, service is pretty fast, and their customer service is as good as you can expect from a mechanic! It's worth saying I get the feeling these guys are super-honest and dependable.

However, it takes a good auto body shop with skilled personnel to provide that expertise and service. Central Illinois did an excellent job on my car; they even found a Kia sportage (blown engine) of the same color to use for parts for my car, to eliminate the cost of a new paint job. FYI, with insurance, the insurance company will often pressure you to select a repair shop that will use cheaper new parts to save the insurance company money. YOU MAKE the FINAL SELECTION for the repair shop, so work that has an insurance company behind it would ALSO be best done at a reputable and highly competent body shop, like Central Illinois.
