I retained Midge in January of 2008 to help me file an amended return from two years previously. I paid her for the filing of my return in April of 2008, at which time she assured me everything was ready to go and I should not have any problems. However, she not manage to file the returns for a full year. I was very anxious about being charged interest and penalties, and contacted her repeatedly, pleading with her to get the returns I had already paid for filed. She had an endless line of excuses about vacations, corporate deadlines she was dealing with, et cetera. I did not have the financial resources to hire another accountant to do the work I had already paid Midge for, but realized later I should have found a way to pay a different accountant because I ended up paying a $1300 penalty as a direct result of Midge's negligence. She failed to file my returns on time as promised, or as a I paid for. She later refunded part of the fees I paid, but she never offered any kind of apology for her negligence. Do not entrust your taxes to this unethical, unprofessional firm.

It was high, but I used them instead of the simple TurboTax process, just because I had additional international transactions that were too complicated for TurboTax tools. Made a mistake in one of the numbers I gave them, and after reviewing and clarifying the numbers they fixed the report and then sent me an additional $125 bill for fixing the report. Classy! Oh well... luckily there are a lot of other good firms in Massachusetts to choose from for years to come.

Avoid this man at all costs. We had him do our 2010 taxes for us and it was a disaster. He did the…read moretaxes, sent us a letter stating that he had e-filed them, and told us to simply save a copy and that we didn't have to do anything else. Flash forward 3 years and we get a letter from the IRS saying they never received our return and that we would face all kinds of penalties if we didn't call them right away. We had to make copies of the return and resend, but not without them sending us another threatening letter. Just when we thought we were in the clear, we receive another letter, this time from the Mass dept. of revenue. Yep, they didn't receive our return either! We wrote Neil and asked for an explanation but he just blamed the IRS and took zero responsibility. Never again will we have anything to do with this man. Neither should you.
