It's also in a great location right downtown, so you can stop in on your way down to, or back from, the lake. I stop by Joelle's every time I visit my parents in Burlington in summer.

And yet my brand name and designer items are rejected. I'm happy to tell anyone how bizarre this place has been, including the rude staff. Edit: they offered to buy one mint condition designer item for $150, which would have sold for $900 retail second-hand. I turned around and sold it to Oliver Jewelry the next day for $550. Suggestions for improvement would be faster sorting of items you drop off and bin inside or just outside the store to donate your remaining items they didn't buy ( if you so wish). Just make the process easier to sell and donate, so you feel like it's all settled when you leave the store and you didn't spend a large chunk of time for a small amount of $. Some prices are on the high side. Some are reasonable. I enjoy looking through different brands and labels in the same store. This is saying a lot from me as my family ran their own business for 35 years, and both my in-laws have their own business, one is in retail and has been in business for 40 years. Never would anyone in my family ever treat a person the way I was treated. I came to look at prom dresses for my niece. The door was locked and there was a sign that said "ring bell". I waited a good 5minutes before someone popped out of the curtains from the back. She gave me an annoyed look and asked how she could help me. I said I just wanted to look at dresses for my nieces prom. She reluctantly let me in but had to make sure to mention that she normally has times for mother of the bride and proms, and demanded I take my shoes off. I really don't know what the big deal is with shoes. I mean it's a dingy not vary clean store to begin with, if it had been raining or snowing outside I could understand taking off my shoes, but it was a nice day, my shoes weren't dirty. I was taken back and asked if there was a problem, again she glared at me with this annoyed look and she looked down at my shoes and said take your shoes off. At this point I said, no thanks...I'm going. She sarcastically said "okay by" and locked the door behind me. there are many ways this woman could have handled this situation differently. ..there could have been a sign on the door "by appointment only", or she could have greeted me at the door and said "I'm sorry we only do appointments or can you come back later between this and this time. The store is small but everything was so pretty and...hella expensive. Intimidating. Katherine helped me out and she knew what looked good and fit my shape. I sensed that she really cared and was not pushy. I can tell that she is happy with her job. I walked out with six new sets since they had a really good Black Friday Sale (40% off everything, 50% off if you bought six items). Very happy with my purchase. Will be coming back for more.
