A friend and I stopped in at this location yesterday (Sat.) afternoon while we were exploring venues during Doors Open. This particular Second Cup is located on the ground floor of Kensington Eye Institute with a front entrance directly from outside; the location is fairly small but it was uncrowded when we ordered therefore we received fairly prompt service. I ordered a Sea Salt Chocolate Chip cookie (see pic. below) which I found quite enjoyable. They have a fairly wide variety of both drinks and baked food. Being at the north end of Kensington Market and a short walk west of the Spadina streetcar line and Chinatown, the venue is in a convenient location, close to lots of other stores and other amenities. In my view it's worth a visit if you're in the immediate vicinity and desire/are in need of a fairly quick beverage and/or food fix.

This SC has been through a couple different owners over the last few years and I had the pleasure of meeting the current owner, David, over a hot chocolate here recently with a Next Door meetup. Quite an interesting experience chatting about coffee, and running a business in the College St/ Kensington market area. This SC can create whatever drink you can imagine! Just ask the barista and they will be happy to accommodate whatever you would like to have. This is a smaller location attached to the medical centre beside it with a hallway so it's a great spot to hang out in if you are waiting for an appointment in the building or for someone to come pick you up. There's a cool line drawing of famous Kensington market iconography to draw you in, and when we were there the space was nicely decorated for Christmas. There's a cozy spot at the back of space to sit that is away from the hustle and bustle, as well as a window spot that is off to the side where you can hide away, yet be in plain site of the busy sidewalk traffic seen through the window. The baking is fully stocked and looked amazing when we were there. The coffee is made with SC own espresso bean which tastes unique and goes well with milk as a latte or on its own as an espresso. There's even a small patio space on the sidewalk out front in the summer to enjoy. It's good to see this SC in David's capable hands and wishing the best going forward, as we look ahead to 2023, with another year to enjoy coffee Second Cup style!

This location is my go to coffee place whenever I need a cup of coffee before or during work. The people working here are really sweet and friendly. I've tried several things from the second cup but I've only had the iced vanilla latte from this location a couple of times and I have no complaints.

I think I'll stick to Starbucks. My drink was overly sweet and the cookie was rather hard. This location was also really small but I do like that they had two tables and chairs outside.

Review is for the cheesecake. It's amazing!! The cashier, a young tall guy, is very nice and friendly. Too bad can not redeem my reward for the cake. I came hoping to find a large selection of nice cake but there was only one so I got this one. Interior is a bit small for work. It's connected to the medical Center next door

It's the lids that drive me bonkers

On my way to the market stopped in here. Friendly staff for sure that's the reason I've stopped in previously. Only thing with second cup is that the lids stick together and you never know how many fingers have touched yours. I give this particular location 5 stars but second cup overall 3 due to this fact.

    I was really hungry ( don't judge me) :D

Ordered the new frocho from this location and it sucks. It tastes like a cold chocolate milk for $6 bucks. Tossed It. Not Worth It.

Where you order and where you pick up your drink isn't designed to allow for a good flow for customers, aside from that, I have no complaints. I ordered a latte and grabbed two goodies for the road, a raspberry croissant and a ginger molasses cookie. The staff working were welcoming and friendly and my items were ready rather quickly. Once I got back to my hotel, I settled in to enjoy and get some work done. My latte was smooth and creamy and just what I needed to get my day started. My raspberry croissant was beautiful and packed full of flavor. The filling wasn't too sweet and there was just the right amount inside. I saved my cookie for a snack while I traveled home later that day. I love how it had chunks of sugared ginger on top. The cookie had the perfect amount of chew to it and the ginger on top added an extra burst of ginger. It was lovely. I'm so glad I found this cafe on Yelp and I highly suggest you pay them a visit. I'm still dreaming of all the pastries I didn't get to try.

I found my salmon cakes to be on the smaller side (they could have added a third) compared to the smoked salmon toast and even the BLT which were both HUGE. However, when i got off the elevator, there were 3 hosts at the stand, heads down or when their heads were up, they were talking to each other just total ignoring me. Dont even acknowledged me a tiny bit. I ended up just ignoring them back and walk in as my party was already here. I didnt exactly know where they were seated, ao i had to look around. Not the best experience. Food wise -- nothing on the menu stood out. But I wouldn't say we picked this spot for their food. Drinks were at best mid for the price. Could definitely get a nice fancy cocktail at that price point. Service was lacking, had to constantly look for our server. Table beside us was a couple whom were also not happy. But again, come for the views.

This place looks like a fairly typical breakfast spot, offering a good amount of seating, large menus for both breakfast and Lunch, and of course, a ton of different pancake options! I'm usually not someone who orders temporary menu items or specials, but the second I saw the S'More Toffee Lava Pancakes I almost had a heart attack, so of course, I ordered the stupid pancakes to avoid such an problem. The food didn't take too long to come out, and they looked even better in person than they did in the menu. Maybe I'm just a little over enthusiastic about these pancakes, but I can pretty confidently say these may of been the best pancakes I've ever had. They were big, fluffy, and this plate did not skimp on the toppings at all. Overall, Stacked Pancake & Breakfast has definitely become a go-to spot for me when returning to Toronto. The food here was phenomenal and even though it took us almost 30 minutes for someone to give us a bill and let us pay, the pancakes were too good for me to get hung up on that. If you need some breakfast in the Queen/Spadina area, this is the place to go!
