What's funny is a day or so before the visit, I was telling myself how I wanted more buttoned short sleeved shirts & I found two at great prices. Both shirts were $10 a piece & there were other pieces I went back & forth on that averaged around $8-15. I look forward to coming back more often because I enjoyed a lot of selections that weren't in my size, which made me on the hunt for more of the inventory whenever it's updated. Shelby, the owner, was super nice. She was also telling us about a special they were having with certain discounts on jackets & sweaters. Thrift Harbor has the typical thrift store assortment. Clothing, shoes, home goods, toys and a few collectibles. This thrift store is fairly large compared to some of the other ones in town. They called the manager a surly elderly woman to the counter who said "oh thats not included" take it leave it". I tried to tell her that coveralls are considered clothing and if not they should have put "all clothing except coveralls" I paid for my items and wheeled the cart to the area where the carts are by the door and she came around the counter and jerked the basket out of my hand and start throwing my bags at me hitting me in the face with a bag that has shoes and 2 muffin pans in it.saying "you're not taking my cart out!" Which I had no intention of doing! I was already taking my bags out of it. I just had surgery on my mouth on Friday and the bag she threw at me really hurt! I had to call the police on her for assaulting me! Needless to say i will never go back! So BEWARE OF THE MANAGEMENT AT THRIFT HARBOR, and the FALSE ADVERTISIZING, that's the sign they should post.

i went to the mostly clothing focused thrift store yesterday with the primary motivation of…read moredropping off some clothes as a donation. the donation dropoff is as convenient as i've seen at any place, with the dropoff location being an open window with a ledge counter, on the northeast exterior of the store, with the window having been open every experience i've had visiting the store during operating hours. furthermore, having travelled a little out of the way to dropoff the donation, i'd decided to shop in the store while i was there. although i've been to the store before to browse for miscellaneous clothing, i looked with more intention yesterday for clothing from the specific brands featured at the retail store where i'm working. and though i did not find any clothes by the specific for which i'd searched, i found a couple good quality, decorative hats to give as gifts, as i've found a hat is a clothing item that serves as an appropriate gift when you are uncertain about the size your recipient wears. and lastly, as commentary to the overall quality and selection at the store, i'll say the selection is large and good quality, though leaning toward one of a kind, miscellaneous clothing, especially regarding shirts, rather than specific brands. and further, the store offers a variety of products alongside the clothing, including assorted household appliances, books, and home decor.

Prices were consistent. They do certain color stickers are half off every day of the month. There will be a sign at the front of the store showing you what colors are half off. This indoor mall of vintage and retro goods has been in business for years. Each booth is rented…read moreby an individual who fills their space with an assortment of vintage and retro pieces. Google says, to be an antique, the item has to be a 100 years old or older. Not sure how many actual antiques you'll find in Hoover's but you make your way through this large space, selecting things you plan to purchase, and pay for all of your doodads at a central cash wrap at the front of the store. Cash and/or credit cards accepted. Like many flea markets, thrift stores, vintage shops--prices have gotten high. You definitely need to set a price you're willing to pay for something and walk away if it's over your budget. A couple of booths were offering 50% off the marked price. I scored a few bargains. Whether you buy anything or not, there's lots to look at and you can fill a few leisurely hours. I wish the staff working the front desk would be more careful with items they ring-up and wrap-up for customers. Items are carefully chosen throughout the mall and one clank on the cash wrap counter and the item is chipped. I've observed this is a common occurrence at other businesses, like Hoover's, too. All of them need to treat the customers' selections with more care. Parking lot available in front of the entrance.
