We have used them for years...BUT this last service call did us in! Absolutely the WORST customer…read moreservice. Hired them to replace a kitchen faucet . One of the owners , with a worker came out. I purchased a faucet with the pull out sprayer in the faucet. Once installed.....He informed me I would need to open the cabinet below the sink and manually 'PULL' the hose down when I was done using it.!!!???!!! That was the BEST he could do. For this , I got a bill of 185.00. Which I paid.....and hired another local company to complete Wilkinson Heating 's job. The new plumbing company was hear for 15 minutes ....all that needed to be done to was balance the weights . Needless to say......I would NEVER call Wilkinson again. They have lost my business....and another local company has gained it. Customers DO matter. My suggestion, keep the boss in the shop and let you apprentice do the work.

We were experiencing problems with our AC in 2018. The unit was running far too long and the…read moresupply air was not "chilled." We called Comfort Mechanical to diagnose, and fortunately I have an engineering background and did my senior project on refrigeration systems. I knew the system was likely just low on refrigerant due to a system leak. CM's tech came out and performed the superheat/subcool diagnostics and recommended recharging. So far so good. Unfortunately I asked about performing a leak detection and the tech shrugged his shoulders. He said it wasn't needed and suggested the leak was due to an old compressor coil and that we really needed to replace it at a cost of $4000. I told him we would wait to see what happens. Fast forward to 2019 - same symptoms and we called another HVAC firm. This new firm came out, diagnosed low coolant, showed me the TX sensing bulb was disconnected AND performed a leak detection which immediately showed a leaky recharge valve. They repaired and recharged everything for the same price as CM's recharge. Fast forward to 2020 - everything still running perfectly. We just checked the temperature drop between supply and return vents and the unit is cooling as well as last year (22 degree drop) with same outside temp and humidity conditions. So I can't prove the reason for Comfort Mechanical's motivation in not checking for the source of the coolant leak, and for not pointing out the obvious disconnected TXV temp sensing bulb. Maybe he was lazy or not proficient in HVAC repair -- but he was sure willing and ready to sell us a new $4000 compressor we didn't need. (and now have the proof) Either way, it's not the type of help you'd want to expect

We had a minor smart thermostat issue and when we called John he knew exactly what was wrong. The thermostat was not compatible with the most recent phone update but he got us a new thermostat right away. We just recently used Unique for an install of a dehumidifier in our crawl space and are very happy with it. John even went to our house to check the humidity level after the install to see how well it was working. Their service goes over the top and I'm grateful we chose this company.
