Fast forward, in 2020-22 our pool tile on one side kept falling off and they came out to replace it twice. 3 stars for returning to fix the tile. No stars after 2023, for poor customer service, integrity, and reliability. In 2023 it started falling off again and he refused to come back. In addition, our patio started to have small leaks in 2022 which have gotten progressively worse and have caused two of the recessed lights to not work; and along the seams on the patio perimeter there is now rusting. I have attempted to call Sam the owner several times and have left messages, but he has not responded. Our warranty indicates a 12 year warranty on labor and lifetime for materials. This warranty means nothing if we can't get anyone to come out and resolve their poor workmanship. Thankfully I have been able to get the tile work repaired but no one wants to touch the patio and someone else's work. The patio work was subcontracted out but that does not alleviate Exodus from their contractual obligation to stand behind their work. I would not recommend going with this company.

We got quotes from several pool remodeling companies and Smart Swim came in right in the middle. We are strong believers on "you get what you pay for," and opted to go with them even though they were not the cheapest. From beginning to end, the guys at Smart Swim were easy to work with and truly wanted our project to come out great. After 30 years, it was time for our pool to have a remodel! Through the remodel, it was uncovered that we had many severe leaks, down to the rebar that needed to be fixed in some areas. Sam was great at making sure we understood the severity and that we were okay with any new costs that needed to be added. Not only did they do our pool, but also installed turf by the pool area and put pavers all around the pool and yard area. We also got the new gray gate installed from them as well, to replace the wooden fence in the yard (between the pool). **Noting that the perimeter wall/wooden top was painted black and sanded/stained by a different company. We truly appreciate their hard work and even when we had an immediate death in the family during their time working on our project, they were very respectful and gave us some space as needed. They opened it on Christmas and were so excited only to have the rug pulled out from under them. They called Clear Coast to schedule their first cleaning and no one showed up. It was a failed heater pump. I also needed a drain and clean since it had been some time that I had used it due to the heater pump issue. Her quoted price was fair and was NOT elevated after the service was performed, as some companies tent to do. Justin came, on time and was scheduled, replaced the faulty part and completed a very thorough drain and clean. The unit looked like new afterwards. I am very happy that I chose Spa Pros. I would never recommend this pool company or the individual who came out to my property. From the…read morevery start, he tried to upsell me on an estimate from another company--asking me to pay him the difference directly while claiming he could do the job himself. The work in question was mostly masonry repair for a pool crack, but it became clear very quickly that he was neither knowledgeable nor reliable. He constantly showed up late (when he showed up at all), invaded my privacy by looking up my personal profile on Facebook, and then lied about it by saying that I had looked him up. Completely unprofessional behavior. On top of that, he tried to charge $2,500 upfront before any work was completed, and then demanded another $2,500 after the supposed "completion"--even though he left the pool completely empty, which every real contractor knows can cause serious structural damage and new cracks. That alone could have cost me thousands. To be safe, I brought in a licensed masonry and construction contractor for a second opinion, and he confirmed what I already suspected: this guy didn't know what he was doing and was simply trying to take advantage of us. His exact words were that the original person I hired was "an idiot" just trying to take us for a ride. Save yourself the stress, money, and potential damage to your property--go with a licensed, experienced contractor who knows pools and masonry. This person is not trustworthy, not knowledgeable, and not worth your time.
